  2. Did you see the post stan????
  3. Stan For some reason i can send pm's at present, need to talk to you about the trap you won at auction for the Towers SRFC. Please call me on 07715 166066. Kind Regards Stuart Wilcox
  4. Well i once sold a pencil w/f cock on here he was from 2006 and was bred by frans Zwols, he was a little big and i only had 1 yb from him and didnt look anything special, i sold him in July 07. Witin 6 weeks that little yb (now named Little Blue) became a legend in our area and was crowned 1st Ace Young Bird of the WOESRC plus he won the averages on his own against 2500 - 5500 birds each week. Thankfully i managed to buy the cock bird back and he has bred winner after winner and Little Blue has continued to win, now 6 x 1st and 1st 3rd 9th 11th 19th Combine against 3000 - 5000b and 38th Open Classic, Little Blue has also bred 4 x 1st and 4 pigeons to finish in the top 10 of the Combine from 4000plus pigeons, I called that original cock Rooney and i think he will be some foundation pigeon in the future!!!! I must have been mad to sell him but lucky to get him back.
  5. Dont know why but i have a liking for hens with breeders tusks and i found that hens with these always breed top young, maybe its a sign of strength, health or vitality
  6. To me as the seller a pm bid from a known source such as fifer or sapper or the like means much more than a bid placed on the thread from Hatchling Red who joined yeaterday and has posted 3 times (just an example). The fact is most members dont like it known that they are bidding on certian pigeons until the bird is won and even then some see it as private business. Trustworthy sellers is whats most important followed by trustworthy buyers.
  7. If i dont know them i ask for a name and address with there bid, but most of the times im dealing with repeat fanciers. On the whole pigeonbasics has some great members and i have only found a small handful over the years that cause real trouble.
  8. Just one tip mate, place a vertical strip between each run of V perches otherwise a dominent cock will hope along each perch pushing the other off all the time and it may disturb the loft a wee bit. Stuart
  9. Who purchased my Latebreds Mick, very pleased they made £300 for such a good charity!!! Well done everyone. Stuart Wilcox
  10. mate try John Searle he has a breeding stud and has some good lines from Brian, he will be able to sort you out at a reasonable price.
  11. No not this year, ive got 4, they are paired together for 2 rounds, then putting them with children of the Lightenberg, Tovenaar and Don Leo from Raymond Moleveld!! These will go back to stock, may also try the inbred Tuff Nut hen with the son of Red Barcelona, but again they will be the building blocks of my future crossed with Raymonds good lines. Stuart
  12. I paid a pretty penny for mine but i must say that they are crackers
  13. Dont post one of that Dark Blue W/F Gareth, as they will all want one!!!! Stu
  14. Not sure Delboy, the big man payed his end. Cheers Stu
  15. Proven breeders like this from those families would probaly fetch from £350 to 750 for the pair, maybe more if there from very desirable lines and came with a full list of prizes/race won. However with no breeding detials ie pedigree no matter how worthless it may be makes then a little more difficult to sale. Just my opinion mate. Stu
  16. When i saw the same lady, a tall dark brazilian lady at the front of the carnival, i married it and look what trouble that got me in ;D
  17. Many thanks to UK Pigeon Couriers, i was well pleased with the service i recieved, they collected ybs yesterday at 5.45pm from Bristol, they had already contacted the recievers by telephone and they were delivered to Gareth Rankin this morning in very good health. Super Service!!!! Thank you UK Pigeon Couriers. Stuart Wilcox
  18. Thanks lads that means alot coming from such good people in the sport
  19. Thanks Ian Regulation is whats needed, customer pressure!!!
  20. P.S. ive been told by many that Ronnie Johnson is a very good and fair auctioneer in Ireland.
  21. Hi Ian Im still learning but still keeping it clean to boot!!! I take alot of pride in my auctions and enjoy getting the right birds at the right prices for my customers (buyers)!!! I work equally as hard for the seller and the buyer and im happy to say that, but when it comes down to price that is strickly set by the guys in the room, the quality by the seller and the service by me!!! Stuart
  22. Isolate infected birds as soon as possible, its paramyxo i would think, i had something very similiar in October 2008 and it took around 5 weeks to clear the loft completely. Use Columbivac today or lastest tomorrow, it will work in around 4 weeks so at least it will give you an end date. Keep plenty of food in the hopper and give electrolytes and multi vits everyday, also Sedichol will really help protect the livers. As for the invected birds some will not be in good condition come the end and you will have to take a view on them but some esp breeding birds can make a good recovery. My 2009 old bird season wasnt good and i put this down to the outbreak in October however from that Old Bird team i bred the best team of young birds ive ever had, so there is hope. Arguably you need to vacinate twice a year!!!!
  23. Hi lads, thatnks for the kind offers im all sorted now. Stuart
  24. Had a long chat with Arter on friday, he was telling about some of his old classic winners, he is still doing well. Stuart
  25. Secound to Fear Brothers of Clandown ;D ;D ;D I do know the Fears well as im a clandown boy by birth, i have there original pedigree book and my friend Andy Tarmass has there original breeding books, amazing just how many pigeons they timed from Barcelona, Pau, Marseille, Dax etc. All joking aside they were all excellent fanciers and all worthy of the title champion.
