Point taken everyone, i suppose you can look at it this way, you make a price which takes into account costs incurred so if you value something at 100 and it costs you £25 to place an advert possibly you will offer it at £125?? Maybe I just thought this way it would get the donation process in line up front. Richard will probaly tell you there isnt many donations made so anything is an improvement. As i said i priced the birds at a level that made paying the 10% still an attractive offer!!! They sell pigeons like this in Belguim and Holland where if you buy a bird at Auction, you pay 20% direct to the auctioneer. As i said its interesting to hear everyones views on the subject. Just one note the seller who is seriously ill hasnt made a penney he has just recovered in some cases at most 50% of what he laid out!!! Remember in this case its a forced sell. I have recently held a sale on Pigeon Basics for a none PB member and had the idea that i would add a 10% surcharge on each bird so that PB would recieve a benefit from the sale, hopefully we should raise above £80 or so for the site. I know this has been a controversal subject in the past but what do members think?? do they think its an appropriate way of conducting a sale??? As members are they comfortable with this??? After flying north in 2006 and only ybs in 2008 yesterday was my 1st channel race for nearly 4 years and never mind what people say you just cant beat the romance and unpredictability of the english channel and pigeon racing. Hi Daz You may well be right, i dont know what sort of weather it was/ wind or owt like that. Rayon 10 which is a fed does dominate Afd 10 (upto 20,000b) esp in the short to middle distance races and young birds and does contain koopman, Vredeveld etc who the Dutch rate as there best, thats what i ment by competative, there are a few pro's in that area and Frans is a working Doctor so i think he does well!!! With regard to the actual racing!!! I suppose we would have to race in it to know that.

Andrew Was not those results with Deweerdts (from the Windsors and Gilbert) and De Klaks?? Both of which you have sold???? Your father raced a sharp pigeon that cant be questioned, but i was under the impression you sold the De Klaks and Deweerdts??? and now have Distance Grizzles and Meulemans, if so only results from these two families please as thats all thats relevant. Otherwise i will have to drag all the Van Reet performances out from 1998-2003 and that will be a bore!!! and as they are long gone possibly very mis-leading. Stuart
