  5. The less you give um the better they fly. I have flown my ybs this year on Diet Extra, My own mixed widowhood food, Clean Water and oils 3 times a week with some brewers yeast & thats it. I did change the grit pots 1 or 2 times. Pigeon Racing is a simple game made complicated Pigeon Fanciers. Stuart
  6. I stumbled across this picture this morning of a glorious May morning and the birds enjoying the warmth of the sun. We have had so little sun this year that it must have affected the birds condition and health?? Maybe this is the reason so many astablished top flyers have struggled from week to week because of the warmth in the loft????
  7. Gangster is the guy from the philipines?
  8. Sapper my 2nd pigeon is bred from the nest brother of the pigeon i sent you that had been injured from Champion Joner, she was only 2 mins behind after 5hrs and 20 mins. Stuart
  9. They are based on Janssen and De Klak birds from Harm Vredveld, Gebr Liedeman blended together by Frans Zwols. I have crossed these with children of Hero 1st 19,000b, Armstrong 1st 25,500b, Golden Girl 1st 11,236b of raymonds and they have really kicked off. The lines from raymond are the old Klak line.
  10. What a day yesterday, we were 9th in the emarld classic and i timed a sister to that bird to be 1st Falaise and she is pooled to a tenner and i havnt heard of anything to beat it yet. Whats more the Falaise winner is the nestmate to a hen that won 1st WOESRC Fareham 2 weeks ago from 4010 birds. These are all g-children of Eagle Boy Stuart
  11. My birds are getting better every weekend, im still losing one or two too many but thats to be expected for a new team of breeders. I have 25 two year old cocks and 10 2 year old hens to channel fly next year so they should do me proud. In my sprint middle section i have 16 cocks and 1 pigeon has failed to be place in the top 20 of the combine upto 5500b. In 1 and 1/2 seasons i have won 1st, 1st 2nd 2nd 3rd 3rd 3rd 4th 4th 5th 5th 5th 5th 6th 6th 6th 6th 7th 7th 7th 8th 9th 9th 9th 9th 10th 10th Open West of england South Road Combine lowest birdage 3021b highest 6010b. Now its time to change my direction and try my hand over the water and the national program. Stuart
  12. Im very happy with coopers so far. Stuart
  13. I take a picture of a bird Andrew and then i put all its RESULTS in one corner, ie whats its won or breed, it makes it more meaningful. Then no matter how ugly the picture its story is clear to see. Stuart
  14. The winner is now called Little Lizzy
  15. From 5 races now thats; 8th 9th 11th 17th 5161b 17th 23rd 5206b 9th 47th 48th 2885b 17th 18th 27th 30th 4165b 1st 3rd 4th 5th 11th 22nd 27th 4222b Hope nowbody minds me posting this up but if you cant enjoy it, whats the point. Stuart
  16. I have woke up on top of the world, i was 1st 3rd 4th 5th 11th 22nd (approx) 27th (approx) last week from 4222b in the WOESRC. The best thing is i sent 43 ybs, 10 of them was Frans Zwols x Raymond Moleveld (NPO Winners) and 5 of these hit the clock, of thos 10 they all have results now in the top 20 upto 6000b, now thats what i call a family. Last year i bred 10 and 1 was Champion Little Blue and the other was Champion Blue Leader. Next year i think i will breed a few more 8) Pigeon racing can be great sometimes. Stuart
  17. Since i moved to Bristol most of our clubmates in the Towers SRFC have become very good friends and i know that they would always be there to help if i asked esp the likes of Nigel Templer, Alan Jones, Les Nichols, Reg & Gary, Colston, Billy and dodgy ron etc, i suppose were lucky in the fact we have a good bunch. Bad Trapper you have every reason to hold your head high, i would let the other members know how you feel tho. Stuart
  18. This is basically the only additive i use along with a bit of Brewer Yeast (max 1 a week) and some powdered vits like Optimix or Dynamik. I have always used 4 Oils from Herbots, its a blend of the 4 oils and i apply it 3 times a week, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. I never add anything to the water except electrolytes on sunday if required. When i played top rugby we had a fitness coach that worked with the Aussie Swimming Team, he told us that the only supplement that increased performance was Vit E, Vit B could also help but margainly, hence my belief in oils. In the last 20 races my birds have won 70 or more prizes in the top 6 and 40 plus prizes in the top 30 of the combine upto 6000b, in my opinion they dont need owt else!!! Most bottles are gimicks!!!! Stuart
  19. At the end of the day its the same information that you enter on the transfer form, i dont see any harm by the way its being done. Stuart
  20. Hi Richard/Grizzle Hen. I think the new rules are great and should suit everyone who takes pride in the pigeons they sell. Just one note on the donations front, its straight forward for me to donate however in the past we have donated a bird which is then auctioned off and i belive we have raised nearly £500 in the last too years by doing this, and this would equate to more like 20%. I had the intenetions of again offering a matched pair as before from Raymond, would this still count as our donation? All the best Stuart

    Clashing

The West of England Combine started the season with nearly 7000 young birds, i reckon we have as a combine lost at least 3000 plus birds. On the odd occasion we have avoided clashing returns have been 95 % plus even if the weather wasnt perfect. We have flown fareham and on each occasion we have had serious clashing, the first batches get through and then one hour after your first birds have arrived it all goes quiet. How hard would it be for the RPRA to run a command centre on a race day, maybe you could even get volunteers to do it? it would cut loses considerably. Stuart
  22. Only in mind dovey
  23. Have you missed me old dovey!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Sorry ive been off the forum so long, i have had a wee change in lifestyle and all this courting is taking it out of me, needless to say its like riding a bike To add i cant log on at work anymore as websense has blocked it, not sure why???? Any way im back on track now and even me birds are glad to see me back, so much they were 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th Staurday. All the best to all Stuart Wilcox
  25. To me its should be about dicussion, and as most of us who have been on the site from the start are known to each other i think we get on well enough, however every now and again we have members join under and anonimous username and cause havok!! These guys should be removed quicker. As for the for sale bit remember the site cost money to run and providing people donate back to the site its useful to richard. Stuart
