I have had hens pair up when I've been short of a cock and put the one hen in a section to get trod by a cock from a different pair 2 or 3 times a day then when the 2 hens laid their 4 eggs waited till the 2 fertile ones started to turn and threw the others away. They are funny though when sitting at night cause they used to have a little squabble and sit side by side with one egg each lol

Cock needs to run the hen to stimulate her to lay otherwise the eggs dont develope and ripen in the overy.

No hard and fast rules but best to have a full covering of feathers with early breeding dont you think?

When they are picking up for themselves and the feathers have opened up under the wing usually around the 24 day mark

Always pair mine up for a week about a month before the main event, dont get much trouble then when you put them back together and all birds will be down on eggs within a week of eachother if they are fit and healthy

I had one once GB07 ER 049. Reported it to Carlo Napolitano, a real gent I must say, had the bird transfered tried it and wasn't any good. Still have the transfer form to this day but the bird is long gone. People thought I was mad at the time for trying it and flying it but best to find out if they are any good its only a ring after all. Would I buy one?? NO

Personally I wouldnt advise anyone to invest till they were sure they were in a club as I have seen these goings on moe than once.
