thanks mate i found there website and have emailed them for a price
-
Whereabouts are they based and how do they compare price wise against blakes mg etc?
-
They will be expensive when you add the price of the crates and a decent vehicle to tow it with, although they do look the part i must admit, do you have info on size of crates and number of birds per crate?
-
They definitely threw silvers and the odd funny coloured un round here a famous fancier W.Gilbert and son had one called sandy the vandie and it was a big winner.
-
And i hear on the grapevine you have found another very good source for the vandies lol :)
-
folks if anyone wants to see top class vandies, i know im repeating myself but bernard bemowskis your man and more to the point hes winning with them now not twenty years ago
-
Bernard Bemowskis your man for the vandies hes had them for ever and not added owt to them stunning looking birds and great over water he flew years ago as f albrighton and son (that was his grandad) always flown a good pigeon , hes a big big mate of mine ps we are in warwickshire
-
i have checked out the ones i bought and they are all genuine from the information i have however there were a lot of pigeons in the pens with no info on and even some with no rings on, i heard they had all been kept in a large shed and aviary as steve was not even in the country at the time so who knows where some of them came from, at the end of day you pays your money you takes your chance
-
your so right the birds did not do justice for steve on the day, we went just on the offchance and have too say i would not have sold birds in the condition they were in, worst sale ive been too in end you could get birds for a fiver, we bought 8 for less than i was prepared to pay for one. you would not recognise them now got some condition into them and am confident i will get something off them next season ps i know what steve paid for the spangles originally
-
Mainly darker cheqs and 2 blues but hint of bronze in flights they are old pigeons though most 9,10 and older its a gamble i know but if the one latebreds anything to go by it was a gamble worth taking
-
I bought 8 spangles at steve holes sale in the summer all mike young directs and all old but got them at right price managed to get 4 latebreds off them and one is a corker, the oldbirds wernt in very good nick when i bought them but they are in good condition now so fingers crosssed for breeding the goods next year, but i wont pair them up till late spring dont want to take too much out of them
-
Bakes living where you live and the problems round your area with BOP i would have a few more as its your first year racing and you want to build a team up, good plan having half on dark and half natural, when are you pairing up?
-
thats ok kev blueron is completley new to the site and is a very nice bloke hope we can keep him interested long enough for the bug to bite, its a shame when people who go out of there way to do good things for the sport leave sites like this as we can ill afford to lose them
-
Blueron take no notice your post was made with good intentions and a blind man could see the message you were trying to get accross if they bothered to read it properly ,people are too quick to jump down peoples throats on this site thats why loads leave or go offline for a while
-
Blueron hope you were happy with the birds i gave you yesterday sorry could not stay and chat but you probably noticed i was in agony with my back problem, anyway good luck for the future and your welcome to visit my loft at anytime you want and also i will breed the lad some youngsters and if any pieds or funny colours show up your welcome to them all best stan
-
