hi mate, i think good birds will win no matter which way you feed as long as there healthy, ive tried everyway of feeding over the years, hopper fed beans, hopper fed race mix, broke down beginning of week then built up mid week onwards and still won, so i would say dont be afraid to try different ways as i said health is the main thing, if you aint got that, doesnt matter which way you feed they wont win mate, jmo.

same here mate, had birds still holding 2 nest flights as yearlings and still won, i used to bother myself about them not fully moulting out as youngsters but dont bother much now.
