hi andy, our club all got 6 inserts fitted mate and up till now 3 members clocks have jammed this season, the trouble is if the rubber opens up when you take it of and you put it in the clock it catches on the top of the inserts lid then when you strike the clock the rubber jammes between the flap and the barrell mate and the plunger wont come back up without pulling at it so not timing in till the plunger comes back up wasting a lot of time, when you clock further birds the same thing happens and also at clock checking, it happened to me and it took ages to get the barrell round so they could open the clock.

i would be very cautious with the red when you get it in, put it in a nestbox on its own for a week or so, not only that but your other birds have been next to it on the roof which could start to some sort of ailment amongst them if the red has picked anything up mate, better safe than sorry

i let my hens through to cocks which are already in boxes letting them in 1 at a time, as soon as the last one is in i start taking them out,ie first in first out cock and hen, but this is for roundabout so i would say about 2 minutes

hi paul, thanks to you and your advice my birds droppings are nearly back to normal mate, theres been a few people around here with the same symptons as me, birds dieing after 2 or 3 days, its been along 6 weeks and i seriously thought of throwing the towel in mate, i ended losing 5 old hens and 3 y/birds, just pleased its over, thanks mate, keith

i won more channel races hopper feeding nothing more than beans years ago, one race clocking 9 on the night, only member to time in on night but now concentrate more on sprint to middle distance so ive changed my feeding but if only interested in distance races again i would be back on beans right away

this all starts when they are babys, if you dont keep them of the roofs then they get bad habits so once they are batching you will have to keep chasing them of the roofs mate, any that persist after a couple of times go in the bin, gota show them who the boss is

hi mate, my main racing loft is 24 by 6, 4 sections, i have 12 up and over nest boxes in 2 of the sections so you will have ample room

hi, are the new lofts in the same garden,if yes i would get them out as soon as, keep them hungry, they know your voice so shouldnt take long to break them

very good for breeding time, i put a teaspoon in pot for each breeding pair of a morning, also when racing i add a small amount to there morning feed

get yourself a terrier paul and keep it on the alotments mate, let it run loose at nights, you wont have cat trouble.
