  1. MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION. From what I can gather on this point, all Unions are the same, I stand to be corrected. On voting on a new membership application, the club has 'carte blanche' on the outcome. The applicant has no recourse. Should the application be rejected, could it not be a future policy that the club has to provide, to the immediate governing body, a viable factual reason why the application was rejected ? Would the act of refusing membership be seen as helping /promoting the sport ?
  2. Call it a hobby, pastime or sport, if your face don't fit that's it. Calling it a sport will not affect the ability for a person to join or be denied membership of an individual club. The hindrance of someone seeking membership to a club is down to the club members, and nothing to do with the fact that we're not a sport.
  3. Basically, tattoed dogs should be on the National Dog Tattoo Register. Maybe now when it's in your mind would be a good time to check with them.
  4. On the issue of voting, and tied votes. It would initially be a question of consulting the Clubs' own rules. If not covered or a case of the club not having its' own rules, I would maintain my questioning and take it to your Region (if RPRA). The whole issue of refusing membership has become laughable, and something which needs to be seriously looked at.
  5. Pats' advise is good. Go to E-Bay ....... it's usually full of them. The 'Combined' works might be better for what you want.
  6. Thanks for the referal Andy
  7. Some 25/30 years ago I purchased a Weihrauch Export air rifle and had it 're-sprung' by a local gunsmith. It was some tool !! Anyhow, at the time, the gun shop gave me the serial numbers so I could send for my license. The application had to be accompanied by hand written permission to shoot on their property from 2 landowners. I also had to confirm the fact I had a gun cabinet, and when in the cabinet the weapon would have all removable parts removed. The quantity of pellets you could buy was limited and you had to bring your permit so the gunshop could record the purchase. I can't honestly remember the cost of the permit, but £25.00 comes to mind. The Police did carry out their checks from time to time to ensure all was well.
