  17. Race controller must be one of the most difficult possitions to hold, we propose these people and vote them into post at our AGM,s, so we need to have faith in them and support them in their decisions, and remember they are only human and may make mistakes. As said b4, if you feel you can do a better job, then stand up and be counted and put yourself forward at the next AGM, however I doubt that will happen :-/ I can also understand that fanciers become disappointed at not getting a race when others around them are having a good race. Is it the case that it comes down to finances, and how much it costs to keep a transporter and personnel down at a liberation point waiting on suitable weather? In the ideal world our birds would go to the race point every week, and if need be, move back up the road for a shorter race(better than no race) but this does not always happen. So lets support our officials and work with them, for what is the best for our birds, I would just like to add, that some people who shout about birds not going, will be amongst the first ones to complain if they have a bad race due to birds being liberated in dodgy weather. this is only my opinion, and in no way directed at any individual club, federation or fancier Enjoy and be patient

Do the fanciers take this into consideration when selecting their team for Saturday, which could be upto 200 miles? Any views welcome, or past experiences :-/
