  9. agree with you rasbull i'm not in favour of these slow release mechanisms the birds working towards the top must be going off their nuts hearing all thats going on round about them

  11. had this happen 3 weeks ago tommy just put the bird in a nest box with a drinker and food he will stand on the one leg until he feels able to put weight on the broken leg it will take about 2 weeks of confinement then he will start to use it,my own bird is back up flying but still holds the leg up at times to aid the healing but he's using it a lot more

  16. i think this is what is wrong with the fancy nowadays were sucked in by the highly polished feeds and they look pleasing to the human eye but personally i don't think the bird gives a sook,i don't race using JAS but i use the all round when the racing finishes and they come out and perform the next year just the same and i've won my fair share of our club shows feeding same so if i'm getting 2 bags for the price of 1 VL then as bigda pointed out a fool and his money are easily parted JMO PS my auld man won the john donald trophy in the midland fed for the best average over 17 races including the channel feeding guess what JAS TROPHY.
  17. cheers davy i thought that
  18. i'm told conflicting methods i.e i've been told that it's ok to give grit while treating with amoxycillin whils't others have told me it's not good to give grit with any antibiotics,me personally i thought it was ok to give grit except when using cycline drugs as these bind with the calcium maybe some of our more knowledgable fanciers could let us know thanks
