  10. can anyone tell me if any of the scottish feds call into this stray centre to pick up scottish birds,i think they used to but i'm not so sure now, reason i'm asking is a fancier in middlesborough has one of mine and another NW youngster and he says he can get them up to the unc stray centre.
  11. read posts 50,62,64 and 65 on another site by kev 43 some moving of the goalposts here i think,i for one have never stated that at the time of the glasgow lib that it wasn't right weather wise cos i wasn't interested because i was off site by 6.15 and on the road to kelso looking after the welfare of the north west birds.i'll have no more to say on the matter other than that when i phoned my convoyer at 6 am he said that it wasn't good and with the weather forecasters forecasting heavy rain moving north and with their own admission weren't sure of the speed of the weatherfront or the amount of rainfall i made the decision to move to kelso which also asks the question why did the unc basket saturday for sunday racing, reason i think( might be wrong )is that they thought the weather front was going to be in the north of england in the morning this front never came in as quick as they thought anyway i'll finish off and hope some of the birds make it home including my auld mans who flies with the almond valley who got 5/27
  12. if you read the posts on another site it was stated by myself that my convoyer did say that the weather prior 6.10 was better but had closed in with full cloud cover and fog/mist at the bottom of the hill

  19. i think myself that after 20yrs of this virus doing it's rounds federations don't do anything to help fanciers with this ailment and are miles down the road before fanciers get their birds fit to race again and fanciers are not willing to "jump" young birds 100mls or so most fanciers get it just before the 1st race or after the 1st race so by the time you treat/rest the young birds minimum 2 wks after treatment their seasons over,i put a proposal a few years ago into my own fed which was accepted and that was that we raced the first 3 races i.e coldsream.coldstream, otterburn and after the first 3 races we came back to the start and started again .with a bit of tweaking i think we endeded up with coldsream, otterburn, otterburn then back to coldstream, otterburn and then carried on the programme it was a total success with plenty of experienced young birds left at the end of the year what happened the following agm the horse them down the road brigade got it changed back so what can we do
  20. did you learn this before or after the race john
