Yes you have to get the bird home to win it. But the reality many, and many again races are won on the clock, and dozens of minor, well deserving birds lose out every week to the 'Clock'. Barry had 12 drop together for instance. Exactly 12 second between each bird time WHEN already in the loft. Ok he took first 4 placed club and Fed. If on the ET he'd took first 12 no sweat. And doing 1760 yards a minute means simply means in between him or other birds being timed in YOU ARE giving 352 yards to every other bird behind. Reality. Can't argue there. Saw the Kings cup won by a fraction of a second. Winner ET. Second bird Manual. Mr Dale still wonders, as he's written (check the BHW ETC.), if I'd be on ET I'd probably have won the gold cup. Open to debate. But yes the bird has to do it, for both. On a sprint race of 1760 (a yard a second) a manual clocker is given at least 500 yards to an ET. Never mind so what and they should get a ET etc. the facts are there for all to work out.

Don't understand your post. Especially regards looking in the mirror. What I spouted is simple fact. Dovescote, WE ARE classed as 'Livestock'! It is under what Catograthy Dafra has placed us, and what they will accept. Best you look it up and read through DAFRA in this regards. The problem is that 'Livestock' have different functions and purposes. Supplying to the 'Trade' for feed is great .... If it was accepted. Which means that CERTAIN types of pigeons would be acceptable, and others not! There are - off hand 5000 odd different species etc. and about 3 that would - as it stands at present - be acceptable. Now that is easy to understand. Further the goverment ministers are certainly not stupid, and personally I don't think you would be able to pull the wool over their' eyes in this regards. So yes, Pigeon are livestock. No they aren't warrented to deem protection under 'Livestock. And we can do and claim and put all the scenario's forward we like. At end of day DAFRA have the final say and would have to be convinced.

Simple reality is No club has to accept any fancier as a member for any reason they choose. They vote and that is end of. So if that is how they want to run their ship, then so be it I guess. Nowt one can do, but accept.

Must say, I have, and have always had mixed views regards of making anything public. Sometimes it can open a can of worms that maybe shouldn't have been opened. 'Let sleeping dogs lie and lying dogs sleep eh'! As my post before said as such. Of course the flip side of the coin regards persons bidding and my statement spouting -In Duncan's case for instance that wouldn't want, or accept his bids. The flip side is of course any one with a proven bad track record, and then they wouldn't be happy if they were a bidder. Stands to reason that also obviously. Which brings to the fore the thought, after a few Pm's of 'How would one know if not brought out into the open’? Of course most will, and can only speak as they find :-/ So on reflection I have to admit there is time when it should be brought to attention of any site regards 'Selling' and buying. 'Fore warned / forearmed' and all that. Yet I do stress in my opinion, this should only happen if, and when and after private channels have been exhausted. So again, the quicker this is sorted then better. Not only for the individuals involved and concerned, but also for the site and any future sales / auctions. J.M.O.

I suppose it isn't beyong the realms to argue that they need, to be exeise in order to be top flight on te table... :-/

It is classed as a sport. It is I believe still class as Livestock, or was under the MMFF. etc. Been trying for countless years for pigon racing to be classed as a sport to no avail.

I see that the Red Dye under the wings seems to be having good reports regards results in Germany. However, myself, I think it is, and will be only a short matter of time till the Peres etc. wise up and take as before. I was mad at the misses a couple of years back after she saw a Dove caught and eat on my shed via a Sparrow Hawk. She went and shoo - ed it of, but was put off by the sight. Blood etc. Mad, well yes, in that I wasn't there to enlighten it's taste buds. As they say salt heighten it's taste to enjoy more. Like the man says they always come back.... But sparow hawks are easy to control. Pere's etc. well thay are a bit special. So I have to accept and admire their antics. I rub lard and salt in to mine deter the mites / lice etc. on my pigeons. Never see nary a one on them, so must work well. Lice free, perhaps will streamline my birds a mite (No pun lol) and I can watch their amazing flights in peace of mind.

Days end, time for parties to agree and get sorted bewtween them. Feel is is as far as it needsbe, or should be regards the 'Public' angle. A straight forward question 'If you was selling a bird at an auction on here and duncan bided, would you feel scepital and pm him not to :-/' Most wouldn't, and his personal track record appears A1 on here. So 98% of sellers would welcome his bid I feel. JMO End of!

Well when questioned, and this is the fac regards Mr Bill and co, as to what and why the Hawk reporting was going to do to help the fanciers - that pay his wage - he said 'Well Nothing'! Pressed further as to what the point was then he came up wit ' For any newcomer to know where the best palaces would be to start up if interested in pigeons' :o 'That is all well and Dandy, but how will that help present members, and doe that imply then that any new comer to the sport must be prepared to move to a better location, and any idea when that location won't be a 'Good Locacation'? Well I don't know. Have done loft visits to a three other fanciers where Duncan has called and also know of a least courier that took birds for, or via him. By all accounts he seems a good genuine bloke :-/ He certainly has bought a lot of fanciers pigeons of this and other sites, and his good lady too :-/ So seems to me something wrong somewhere eh! :-/

Mark it hasn't got to any one, certainly not to any one that give a rat behind. It certainly hasn't even made a eye lid to flutter, nor ever will I'm afraid. Certainly hasn't got the attention of any one that counts, unless you count those that are laughing at you. So yes it may be in your view I failed. But I didnt, and haven't brought scorn on the fancy as a whole and certainly not on any individual, nor in disrepute. Now that is for sure. What dent has the SOSB made. None. Nor will it, I know that, most know that! So if the P.O.B is defunct, at least it isn't 2 years after still lying dormant and doing nothing like you lot have for the past 2 years and more. And one can only send a petition in once. As soon as the names are duplicated it becomes worthless and fruitless. So you need another with fresh names on... Diffence between the P.O.B. and you lot then id that the P.O.B. knows it's dead, whereas you don't! Never been no where and going nowhere. Sorry, ...

Any way, if you lose a bird and someone treated to a hawk, Mark, you can't be held responcible for anyone elses actions, good or bad. Likewise, when there are no rings on a bird that gives another bird indigestion, that is again not down to any fancier. And as for there being any come back, or comuppence regards 'pigeon racing' it is time to wake up and smell the coffee.... in 3 years or less ( Let's dream a mite here and believe 5 years eh! :-/) here won't be any racing... just the one loft races if any one is interested. So instead of the anti egoers having a pop at any other organisation, or person(s) trying to allievite the situation, they should be on board and backing them at least. Not sabataging them. No we didn't let the Homing brigade dow, Old Yellow, you lot sabataged it. Further we was getting between 5% and !0% discount for all kind of pigeon suppliers. We had on board the !p donated for every pigeon sent to a race. We had a Websites ready to be up and running. We had several willing to put up donations. We had a sale where Albear is still owed from. We... never mind, we didn't have the support for that even, only those spitting into the tent. If fanciers can't appreciate say 5% - 10% savings on 85% of theie yearly costs, and can't see their way clear to help themselves then just what chance do you think you will have touting for support that may cost them! Why do you think that the B.O.P will stop ridiuling you. You have been up and trying for near, yes over two years and done nowt, absolutely nothing with no progress at all! I'll back it, of course I will.... unlike you who threw spanners into the works every time any one else tries something. So not only did you stop your selves from making progress, but make sure no one else will make any inroads. Just couldn't let any others make headway, whilst you have since last June - nearly a year now - don't no more than sit on your backsides and twidled your thumbs.... The P.O.B. didn't fail, not by a long chalk. It was the failure of the very same oes you wish yo back your 'cause, that didn't back the P.O.B. Further, not only didn't back it, but a certain cliche that went head over board to distroy it before it was even up and running. Do want to post up the SOSB Threads where personal and hoorid attacks wee made uon this so cause. Also the belittling and Pee taking that it got :-/ The P.O.B. Had a good platform. It had dedicated and worth while fanciers with great intention ready to work tirelessly for the Cause. t was the very fanciers that it was striving to help that let them down. Plus a few idiot with their stupid and senile Egoistic agenda to thawt the P.O.B. for their own agenda.... Such as this. No two ways about that. End off.
