  1. I know where you are coming from. It would be of no use going to softly with them, to then loose them as yearlings and be back to square one!
  2. Send them calm, not to much motivation!

    KOOPMAN

I have been reading that Galaxy Lofts are selling up. Regarding the Koopman Pigeons do any of the forum members know of anyone flying well with Koopman's? Not necessarily from Galaxy it could be any source? Thank you.
  4. Anyone who is commercial, full stop!
  5. Didn't think i would be saying this, but i had a look at the Louella stand this afternoon and they were in excellent condition, as good as any i saw!!! Also on the Lotterman stand the comb De Hann bred birds looked in excellent condition. I saw a grand daughter of Thone's pocco bred by Lotterman for sale at £100!

    HELP

Yes thank's iv'e tried the search option but could not locate it. What it is Redchequehen is that i read a thread on what job members did and one member was a mortgage advisor (i think). I have just accepted an offer for my home and had one accepted for the one i fancy. I was hoping for some sound advice.I have two advisors visiting me on mon and tue and wanted to run it by the pigeon fancier for a second opinion. I will fit a nice loft in the rear garden aswell. Regarding the pigeons for sale at Blackpool, i've only had a quick skint through but i don't think i saw a real good sale in there,ie entire clearance sale.

  12. I don't believe you could even get it from a vet in the UK.I remember the late David Palmer writing that one of the ingredients to it were not allowed in the UK.
  13. Boots chemist, and it is cheaper than any pigeon outlet!! They do it in 500ml bottles +/- £15
  14. Shocking for all concerned, RIP
  15. Agree, ludicrouse decision!
  16. No problem, Paul. Tammy, like i said i alternate the products so it would be harder for resistance to build up.That is the reason why i quoted them.
  17. I think you will find most flagyl tabs (metronidazole) are not even made for pigeons and you would have to break them up anyway. The post was regarding flagyl not emtryl! I would alternate treatments metronidazole, ronidazole & emtryl. My number one choice would be Metronidazole always before any other!
  18. 1500mg to 4lt water for 5-7 day's. They are hard to dissolve, try it in a little warm water and add to drinker. The vet Gorden Chalmers advices to mix a bit of cider vin with the warm water to help dissolve. If you have a mortar and pestle it will grind the tablets into powder no problem. I'd trust it 100%.
  19. well surely a bird that is 2 is hardly old is it?
  20. They were all there when i visited him alan,i got 1 pair from him and he also gifted me 1 bird which was from a biemen cock (invincible spirit) when paired to a VDW(she was barren). The hen of the pair i had has bred birds to score in the top ten sec and first 100 open in the NFC.
  21. What age constitutes a "golden oldie"?
  22. Hi Alan can you just clarify how the sire 03/51 is bred?should it not be he is a G,G son of top cocks, De Prins, De 22, Benjamin and De Sproet? He could only have two grandfathers. The gregson's had some nice birds when i visited them in '99'. Great gesture by you!

  24. yes they do contain reds.there was an article in the bhw around the end of july regarding mick burden's restart in the sport.
  25. the only way i could is by looking in my old books which are in the loft,i will have a look in the morning. I visited him with the view to trying some young in 1999 but due to his wife passing away around the time they were going to be ready it never happend. i spent about four hours chatting to him at his lofts and learnt a great deal he was a straight talking fellow one of lifes characters.i will never forget it because when i went back to my car i had to put the heat on and thaw out for about 10 mins before i was fit to drive.i don't think he new what the cold was. i know chris gorden had them at the time and also mick burden uttoxiter(?)was racing well with them.
