We bought some good indian fantails last week in brum for £10.00 each ,they were mostly coloured birds ,we missed out on three pairs of pure whites by about five minutes .very good proper tails on all of them and in good health too.

In birmingham last week there were a pair of crested white fantails in lovely condition ,when i asked about the price of the fantails the shop owner said no they are not fantails they are DANZIG HIGH FLIERS ???? , i thought i knew one when i saw one lol,.

This will sound daft but it works ,find someone with ferrets and put down some ferret s___t ,they wont come near it also works with cats (they will only lick it off once lol) but unfortunately will discourage wild birds from your garden too.

Good post bandit i think we should tell fellow fanciers if we have enjoyed an hotel ,then the good ones will get the benefit ,the trouble is if you leave it late all the good ones are full lol,we stayed at the Rayners Hotel in woodfield road and really enjoyed it and the price was cheap ,we will go back next year and have already booked ,i would suggest that if you know a good place to stay book up now to avoid dissapointment.

Yes ,they are badges lads ,good honest birds but not rollers ,i prefer the badge to brs ,they are good honest and fast workers and will give a lot of pleasure to an owner when fit and turning and the colours available are amazing ,you wont get fed up with badges as quick as other varieties.

I installed one in my kitchen a couple of weeks ago ,wonderful heat ,you can control the burning with the flue choke ,i burn pallet wood ,coal ,timber peices ,fence panels in fact any wood available ,the down side is cleaning it out ,get some gloves lol, keep the ashes for the garden or give away to allotment holders ,.

When it gets to this time of year ,cold etc it gets to be a chore and people lose interest ,this is the season for people to leave the fancy only to return when the weather improves in spring ,i am not saying all people are like this ,.
