  1. during the 40s and 50s doctor anderson ruled the national with a firm hand,60s and 70s it was percy camerons turn to have the respect and trust from the body of the hall, since these halycon days we have had some very fine and good leaders taking the snfc forward, recently no matter how hard the top table has tried it has not been good enough for the membership, this problem is not unique to the pigeon sport, golf clubs bowling clubs and most other recreational organisations are experiencing similar problems,my take on the problem is the lack of SPORTSMANSHIP & CONTENTMENT with what we have,if we dont start thinking towards TOGETHERNESS we will soon have no where to turn, the time to support the top table and commitee is now!!!!!!! :-/
  2. natural hens flying 500-600mls into west of scotland.
  3. yes you are correct, no one will jump through fiery hoops for these jobs,we currently have a policeman, teacher and doctor at the top table, surely some of these men must be credited as having the experience and interest of the snfc at heart, the snfc requires stability now more than ever.!!!
  4. maybe have a read of WELSH NATIONAL FLYING CLUB current thread, they have had more than one national for a few years now.
  5. happy new year to all fanciers, good luck in 2009.
  6. thanks,although no understanding just a question. :)
  7. yes joe murphy is the man! over 80 national section winners in scotland, nonesense too many races not enough doos, the result total loss of credability in scottish national racing.
  8. do you have to be a member of the rpra to be a member of the snrpc?

  11. have had them in the past, lost a lot through raptors during march and decided with darkness youngsters,no winter pairing and no need to have youngsters before march, although the year i had winter youngsters one went on to win the section in the national!!
  12. which feds make up the combine?
  13. anybody know which route south/lan going 2009? ie east or west and will they be going alone.
  14. would not like to think my employment details in any form were being discussed on an open forum!!!!! good or not so good at my job!
  15. i just hope the people appointed will be backed by the membership, recently this has not been the case, with over 1000 members finding a commitee of 15 has proved very difficult these last few years.the top table must include experience as to change all positions could be damaging.
  16. got to agree budgie any really good birds i have had have been recieved in friendship or bought from local top distance fanciers, not many birds about that will fly into the west of scotland, certainly plenty of birds around with fancy names with most of these named birds never having left the loft and done nothing to deserve a nom de plume, being a touch cynical this maybe sells birds!!!!!!!! ;)
  17. keep an open mind,"MANY ROADS LEAD TO ROME",dont become overly involved in the politics that cripple our great sport, and most importantly ENJOY YOUR BIRDS WIN OR LOSE. :) :)
  18. yes no doubt we will continue with snfc & snrpc, twice the costs, double the manpower and also the great loss of uniqueness that has been derived from over 100 years of scottish national racing, with over 80 section winners between both organisations a once prized "section winner" is now commonplace, this divide has been driven by a very small group of fanciers with no thought for the majority, unfortunately this will continue with this group of fanciers having no thoughts of a solution. :)saddened scottish distance racer.

  20. GOOD,something certainly to think about for fanciers in central scotland ,not to many feds or clubs willing to open boundries in this day and age, federations can no longer pick and chose. ;)
  21. look after your spiders!!!
