  1. Trying to get a result for 7 fanciers on a Unikon system, I switch it on and go through all the usual procedure and suddenly it asks me for an activation code which I had put in at the beginning of the year as I have done each year for the past 9 years. How the f*** am I supposed to get an activation code from Unikon at 7pm on a bank holiday?
  2. How do you think that will go Steven?
  3. Presently watching the English local elections on BBC television, does anyone have a theory about why politics attracts such a bunch of incompetent avaricious low life's.
  4. I have a small cottage industry each summer running stray Lanarkshire birds up to Abington or Elvanfoot on a weekly basis and my friend Yeboah does more than me.
  5. Su10 B 3911 equipped with a black ETS ring and a race rubber I think it belongs to Maybole
  6. Gonnae throw up a stray Ayrshire doo from the car park at Holmsford Crematorium which is between Kilmarnock and Irvine tomorrow about 9.45 am.I guarantee to make sure the chimney is not belching smoke at the time.
  7. Absolute total rubbish .pigeon Fanciers are the salt of the earth.
  8. I freely admit I ain't much at racing pigeons Walter, but I really enjoy the whole scene and I have spent a good few years closely involved in the administration of pigeon organisations and I have to tell you that in many instances the most obdurate and twisted opponents of change and progress are surprisingly often not really that old.
  9. The last contributor is decidedly correct I his remarks on the average of fanciers and I plead guilty to being over 81 years of age,it is also correct to say that over time (very soon) the whole format of racing in Scotland will have to change with the amalgamation of clubs and federations. All change should be welcomed after examination of the pros and cons because only in in this way can our sport survive and evolve.
  10. I have been in this game a few years now and have lost count of the number of times that experienced men have assured me in doleful tones that the pigeon game is finished. This morning on the third race of the current season our federation transporter is filled almost to capacity. So my question is does the Birdage jibe with the prophecies of doom?
  11. Lockerbie sent 150 pigeons to Charnock Richard.
  12. Sorry about that I would have liked to have met you, one of the bird I bought was from a Mr. Frame not ready till the weekend
  13. Been there bought two nice young pigeons
  14. Who is best for a quick supply of basket seals and clock envelopes
  15. Yes Danny I am sure you have had some brushes with the "that's the way we have always done it no need for change" brigade.
  16. Very sorry to hear this I served in the army with Jim condolences to his family
  17. Each Friday evening during the season I travel to Hoddom to race mark pigeons, a round trip of 44 miles. On Saturdays I travel to Lockerbie to make up the race result a round trip of 34 miles. This is a total of 78 miles per race, about. This works out at approximately 1326 miles per racing season. The question I am increasingly asking myself am I totally nuts or just a normally keen pigeon fancier.
  18. Happy St. George's day to all my English friends..I have two nephews and an assortment of great nephews and great nieces, all of whom have told me on numerous occasions that they are more Geordies than English I have never been sure of the difference. Are there any Geordies on here who can educate me.
  19. OK I have to be careful not to provoke some more scorn from Mr.Boswell and Mr.Hay
  20. You are talking to the converted,I am trying to hand rear two I2 day youngsters both of whose parents have become hawk food. Does that sound like moaning to you
  21. OK I have objected to the hawk business all over the place, I have spoken at planning committe meetings of Dumfries and Galloway council.I have addressed the countryside and wildlife committee of the Scottish Parliament all to no avail. I plead guilty to not having taken any direct action against predators but I do not think that merits personal abuse.
