  7. Thought i would get help from the experts. In my loft i have got 2 pair of stock birds that has bred me birds i am very proud off.(last year and this). My only trouble is i have about 9 cocks (widowhood, natural and stock)capable of breeding me some goo-dens.But i only got the 2 proven hens and 1 natural hen that looks to be promising which i gone send to the old hens national. Now,do i invest in a hen and retire a widowhood cock to stock or just keep on breeding with Wat i got hoping that some of my widowhood hens might turn out some good youngins. Any idee's?

  9. I tought GEM makes a gps ring that you can follow on-line?
  10. Do you think,we tend to breed more y/b to make up for losses and end up overcrowding the loft?I bred 47 and had 3 races now with 31 birds left none reported. Its gutting to think you always loose the ones you put your money!
  11. All the above posts makes me drull,we have had a 49mile,then 65 then back to 49 and this week guess Wat,65 mile again. My birds is hopping and i would love to get them to 90-110 in the 3rd week.....Don't think i will sent this week,i think you loose the birds to easy on the short distance.

  19. well done,keep them going
  20. I race cocks widowhood and hens natural, one thing i would say mate is no matter Wat system you choose to race, plan it and stick with it.I think the worst you could ever do is come to the 4Th or 5Th race and because u are being beaten by the opposite system, change your own.No good, you will end up worse.Try a system one year and if it don't work swap over the next season.
  21. Hi mate,my first y/b season last year i started with 19.I only raced them up to 120 miles and missed bad weather like this week.My idea was to set them up for the yearling stage and more important the 2year old stage.I ended my season with 14 birds. Now i might have been lucky then but as soon as i started the yearlings this year,on my first race i lost 6 out of 14.This year i bred 50,half on the darkness and half natural. And i will be pushing them as hard as i can.
  22. No lib for us honiton boys, hold over....

  24. All mine thinks.i think is "get off so i can go on to ebay u ass"
  25. I sent 15 cocks,only Salisbury @65 miles.
