Hello everyone.i got a similar problem as josh donlan.I have just moved my loft from my father in-laws down to my place.It might not happen,but i kept 8 pair of racers back that wasn't sold.Is there any way to break these birds in time for the old bird season.The area woodint be a problem as were the new loft is,is in-line of flight.they will be in aviary every day.Will the cocks break easier than hens?Should i leave a little shed up were the old loft was? Thank you in advance.

Hallo everyone, Got a few birds for sale due to moving and the loft space reduced.Allot of birds have already been given away like late bred hens and pairs of stock to new starter via pm.These birds is not your "invincible spirit" but they are birds that if i had the space i would have honestly kept them me self.Amongst them there is no 1st price winners but tru my 2009 season every bird has earned his place in my loft either by coming well in race time but not clocked or just showed that all important homing ability.Because 2009 was only my second season there is no pedigrees for the birds although if the buyer would like i can give pedigree to trace parents and performances of brothers and sisters.Some might say they are only worth culling due to not winning but i believe even the slowest bird deserves a chance at least to the yearling stage.Due to my club position race program and me going on holiday, my birds has all only flew to 167 miles.(no great distance i know) First up, White GB 09 N66576 Janssen Cock bred of my no 1 pair janssens that originate tru Gareth Lowly of Gary Tomlin-son. Second,Blue Checker GB09 F39238 Busshaert Cock bred of stock that was bought of a chap called Brian Foster. Four,Blue Checker GB09 N66563 Busshaert Hen Same way bred as no,2 Five,Blue Checker GB09 N66579 Busshaert Hen Sister to no four Six,Blue Checker GB09 N66592 Busshaert x (Van Reet x Jan Aarden) This bird was bred for me by Sid Ayers in my club,He has personally won Bergerac twice in the club. I agree on the moulting side of things but with regards to resting i think pigeon only have "cat naps"so they never really dose of for hours. .......i think,might be disagreed.

Hi everyone, Got me self a nice stb clock today just because i like them.i dont intend to use it as i got a t3 and buying ets soon.More for really back up and to sit on shelf and look pretty.He needs a good service i was advised seeing he stops on the second day every time.I dont want to open the lead seals me self cos that's op against RPRA rules in case i ever need it.do i send the clock to rpra or can it be done privately and were do i send it? I love y/b racing and to top the d sec in nfc will be nice.

I will be buying me self an ets at blackpool,but not to try an improve my pigeons because no clocking system can do that.Will help in some short races to gain seconds.but my avice would be stb or even t3,now that they are thimbel less they are quick if you havent got 10 thumbs like me.

I use black spacers that you put under reinforcing when doing concrete.they are about 4 inces long with a wide platform for screwing to wall.they are round and the birds young nd old seem to enjoy them.

In south africa we had a pine tree(fur tree) in our back garden next to my pigeon loft and the birds kept on filling the nest bowl with the needels(fut)so i tought i will try thesame over here.The only thing i do is spray it with vircon and put by radiator to dry for 2 day and jb done.
