Some members wanted to do this in my Club, but it just adds to the work of the ETS administrators. Assigning rings is the worst chore there is for ETS, but at least you only do it the once. In your case, Kirky, you will have to get all your Old Birds re-registered every year the way you are doing it.

Now that racing is imminent is there any way we could get 'Race Day' to a more prominent position, perhaps on its own rather than a sub menu. Once racing starts we tend to get race day information,i.e. weather, libs & race returns split between 'Race Day' and 'Notice Board'. It would be nice if all info could be under the same banner.

I enquired at Cartridge World last month on a refill for Brother HL5240 and was quoted about £40.00 for the 7,000 copies refill.

According to the Oxford 'English' Reference Dictionary , England is no longer a Country. It is, and I quote: 'a part of Great Britain and the United Kingdom largely made up of the area south of the River Tweed' We have no Parliament, no National Anthem and no future. We will be sunk without trace. We need an English Nationalist Party to stand up for our rights and heritage before we have no rights and our heritage is airbrushed out of existance. We are not, and never will be, a 'part' , we are a Nation in our own right.

According to PigeonChat the update is about the NEHU. : UNIKON Update 16th March 2010 by Stuart - WDA on Mon Mar 15, 2010 7:24 pm It contains the facility for NEHU Clubs to use the Club system as a master timer as passed at the 2010 AGM. It was notified to members in the Appendix 3 of our ETS rules in last weeks BHW/RP. Cheers

Why has the date of the update been deleted, on my screen there is nothing to show that there is a new update unless you download it, also the new version No is not displayed. What are Unicon playing at, I've just updated 25 clocks and distributed them to my members. How did you know, Arch123?
-
That is not an update, it is a guide on how to update and its a year old. 16/03/2009 Saying that, the dates for the updates have vanished and their not showing the latest version No.

The £65.00 is an optional maintenance cover against failure of the equipment, it is not an insurance against damage or theft. Your Club's insurance should include the cost of a replacement unit should it be stolen, vandalised or lost in a fire. On a slightly 'off topic' question, Has any Club took up the option of the Battery fitted Radio Clock adaption which was offered last year.

Not having the correct time shouldn't affect ring assignment. Every time a ring is assigned it should be confirmed by the numbers on the display after each assignment.

The Southampton & Dist NR FED are holding on online Auction for their Transporter Fund. http://www.kdwebsolutions.com/auction/categories.php?category=Southandton-and-District----North-Road-Federation----Transporter-Fund-Auction&parent_id=215 Last minute bids on any Lot will extend the closing time for that particular Lot by 5 minutes. Example: Original close time is 8.00pm and a bid comes in at 7.57pm, this will then extend the close time to 8.02pm, and then another bid comes in at 8.01pm which extends the close time to 8.06pm. Warning: Due to the routing varagies of the Internet, we advise you to enter a commission bid and not gamble on risking bids in the last 5 minutes. For telephone bids call 02392 610028 & 02392 478354

I've just sent for some from Chris Smith on Pigeon Chat because I need a different colour for ID purposes. I've previously used the Smisdom Plastic and they are etched into the label, only put your phone number on as the printing gets small if you add a name. I've got yellow and red and the Yellow is more easily read. I use Yellow for the Hens, Red for the Cocks (helps the missus out) here's Chris's address: 200 for £10 mick plus sae address is 40 churchfield road, s*expletive removed*horpe, n.lincs DN16 3DH cheers chris smith (Bhw scribe smithy from Sunny Scunny) Piccoli-Smith & McInnis I've not used these before but they have had good reviews from Pigeon-Chat members

Is the 'Pigeon Palace' still in existance?

Thanks for that Arch123, I will finish early Friday and do it then. I am on EastCoast Software, hopefully there'll be no compatibility problems.

As we are a North & South Club we were given two Club Masters (when we purchased 25 systems) so that we can mark both on the same night. I see they are talking of a fee for extra markers now. What info do you need to get your verification code as I am at work during the times specified.

I see Colin most Sundays. I could pass a message.

How Much does your Club pay your secretary
Pompey Mick replied to COTTONHEAT's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
I am General Secretary of a 25 member club and get my fees paid plus any receipted expences. We also have a race Secretary who collects the birdage and sends the result to the Fed who gets £3.00 per member. The most time consuming part of the job now, (we are all ETS) is the ETS ring input, but that is balanced by the electronic downloading of the race clock times. -
I was told by Darren from Unikon that the update mainly concerned Windows 7 and a few minor things.

My Daughter's lurcher is called Izzy, cos it's a bit whizzy.

My Club (RPRA) has its own set of maps (4) which cover the whole club area. We have a rule that all members must be marked on the club maps even if they have come from another Club and already have a Lat/Long. It is usually the Sec. that has to mark the map and apply for the Loft Location which is now linked to the RPRA Code No.
