  5. well done leroy! wish i could have heard it! heard on radio 5 live this morning, that lapwings, cuckoos, etc need to be protected due to there decline! mmm common sence? :-(
  6. well dont know about brains pecked! but make sure when you let them out next they are super hungry! wont harm them for a day! they will crawl all over you to get in, plus the ones that have nighted out make sure you dont reward them by feeding them when they do come in! they will be first in next time! ;-) hope you get them all back! i know its hard but try not to be to soft with them, show them who is boss fromn the start!.

  10. im no expert mate, but used to have a tippler or 2 when i kept pigeons when i was little, and they did fly well, but i took them both about half a mile and never saw them again!

  13. agree with you mate, if in doubt keep em out, but how many of us do it though? theory and practise! 2 totally different things! i would say keep the yearlings out, but would probably send them!

  15. how many you got missin now mate? it is a bummer! but yes get them used to as much noise as possible if its a problem! hope you get them all back, ybs are scared of there own shadow to start with though, so not just you who it happens to! hang on in there. good luck

  18. thanks everyone for the support! would just like to clear up for 1 or 2 people, that i have never done a moderators job on any other site! and that i have no motif for wanting to become a moderator, as do none of the others, we just do the job as thats the sort of people we are, and if people abide by the code of conduct. then there wont be to many problems, Yes debate is good, and without differing opinions there would be no point of forums! but there is no need for any abuse of any sort. If anyone does have any problems or concerns, i am on here most days between 9ish and 5ish. (except weekends when im waiting most of it for the birds to arrive home)
