What influences how you pair up?

What i am saying is that over 90% of my stock birds that I have chosen by their eye only have bred winners. -

Personally i only choose my stock birds bye their eye and only pair them up by their eye, pedigrees and performances when choosing stock birds mean nothing to me,and I can truthfully say i have probably been over 90% correct with my selections. -

Just wondering how you know that they all have fantastic eyes as going by your first two lines you dont think there is anything in it anyway. -
Just to put things right,no club or fed as to buy any eqipment so long as 1 member buys a system the club eqipment is given free by most of the ets companies now,the national clubs have also been given the marking eqipment free of charge.

Looks a great place mate only problem i can see there,s no mention of any parking, allways a problem with a lot of the places in blackpool.

Stil waiting for your answear on the above ROLAND,didn,t have all this hassle about penalties when the T3 or the speedtrap came out.
-
Very sorry but I just cannot see any reasoning at all in your statement.
-
Did you break any of the birds or did you keep them for stock,if stock did you breed anything any good off them.
-
Roland how much allowance do you think should be given to someone who as to go in the loft chase the bird around, get the ring off and then clock it in,over someone who as a speed trap and a T3 hung round his neck with a kwikstart,I would think about 20 seconds what would you say.

Hi Carl why dont you suggest at the club that you are willing to do the marking and setting for any members that want to use the ETS, I,m pretty sure that once one or two see how simple and timesaving it is a lot more will use it,there is no expence to the club as most systems now offer all the club equipment FREE if only one member buys a set up.

Usually make a lot of trips down into the valleys for the shows, have allways liked to do some showing through the winter months but there,s not many on up our way anymore so as I said make a lot of trips down that way.

This Saturday I will be going to the Welsh North Road Fed Show near Caerphilly, and hopefully a lot more others over the coming months.

Why not report all four, this might wake the fancier up to the fact that he needs to transfer them to you,if he doesn,t get intouch with you then you could report him to the RPRA for not claiming the birds.
-
Unikon say that where you have more than one flyer using the same loft each flyer only needs there own pocket clock,Flyers need only to insert each pocket clock into the loft clock after basketing to validate the clocks.
-
Just working it out this way, rings would cost you approx 25p each, tranfer fee is £1.50 per transfer form and you could put 18 rings on one form,so depending on how many rings you want this way might work out cheaper,
-
You could join the RPRA as a individual member then you could get the rings as soon as they come out but they would cost you 30p each that way,I suggest the best way to do it would be to get another member to get you some rings when they come out and then transfer them over to you when you are a club member,if you have any problems let me know and I will get them for you.

What happens at the moment Solo as I would say it would be no differant with ETS,do you have two clocks set,we have a rule in our Fed that says,That all competing members will have a clock set for their use as a competing member in that race, one member one clock,I think the RPRA have something simular in their rules.
-
Mick,A lot depends on what type of ETS system you will be getting because all the anntenna pads come in differant sizes which i,m sure that you are allready aware of,If you can get a Murray and Mills catalogue they do a ready made all alluminium sputnik on the back called the Super Maxxus which is a very nice piece of kit but the cheapest is £138,even with this one though you have to do a bit of work on it so that the pad fits underneath the piece of landing board which is inside the trap. This was the only ready made trap I could find when I bought my ETS.I did actually buy one of this type and then on my old speedtrap I sort of copied the way this one was set up.

The Aberdare Show is on Sat.3rd Nov.at the Sobell Centre.

I will be going as I have done for the past few years, there is not much there in the way of stalls but there are some classes for the birds to enter in allthough I think it is to early, the classes are through the bars, and the eyesign which i allways like to enter in,they also have a lot of show bird classes which is allways well supported.Remember one year we went they had a draft of birds on auction from Belgium to help with the transporter fund there were some real bargains there from some of the top flyers in Belgium.
-
I would be very interested to know how your velocities compared to the ones I posted up,these are the record performances that i suppose have been put up since records were first recorded.
-
Agree with you Mark about buying pigeons with bits of paper but when you say winners will allways be winners are you talking about buying in youngsters or buying in old birds,as personally i would have to say that buying winners will not guarentee you will breed winners.
-
One of the best things i,ve done in the club is the bonus ball in the lottery, think there are 49 numbers so if you can get people to have these each week thats £49,if you say pay out £25 or £30 prizemoney you make £24 or £19 per week for the club. The only problem is collecting the money in each week but if you can get each member to get their family or freinds to have a go each week they could probably get the money to you. It,s surprising how the funds soon build up in the club.

That's warning enough to have no dealings with him in future, and if he does post 'give him the rubber ear' - don't under any circumstances reply to him. If he as any sence at all he certainly wont come on under the name of Coxy, how can we know he is not on here at this moment there as been a few new members the last few days anyone of them could be him.
