Did we fly same race point in 2011... As I was 2nd fed and measurements arer same as ones used this year
-
Well done all
-
Gary they may go down a few when the new result are in. Won't go up tho
-
Gary I think the rule is if the put the distance longer than what there flying. But all 4 clubs have put in shorter distances. I am down as flying 165 82 and I should be something like 167miles
-
Yeah seen my club result had me flying 165 miles so had a rough idea we were wrong
-
Yeah part of problem is we never went there with old birds due to weather and brought back to otterburn. Or it would have been highlighted then no doubt. Thanks for letting members know situation
-
Yeah bonnyrigg also only giving inveresk 1mile! Don't make sense but well done t murphy
-
4 from 9 for me! Not had another bird since I went with clock. Luckily I stopped most but still dissapointed to have under 50% home. I also feel clashing could have been the problem

Midlothian fed libbed 11 WSW wind. Bubwith\selby
-
Never had any myself but was bad news for the 2 I bred and purchased by members
-
Yeah peter am on your side. I want west and better racing I believe. Was just curious to answers
-
But if we just go an all out west what happens at the 250+ races where we joint convoyed with SNFC. Could fed afford to go down with a few hundred birds on motor? As if we go the normal west race points like stafford and what not then we'd be unable to go with SNFC. Now if we did as I suggested and started at race points like longtown then down west slowly working in land till we reached the same race point as national we'd elimanate the risk of clashing in races under 250 miles... Take out the libbing in places like otterburn, witton castle, thirsk, ripon. Just the whole nightmare of durham area and still be able to convoy with national at the 250+ mile races as we'd be over the middle with them by that point
-
Yeah I understand about clashing and the north road lads! But whats the solution?
-
Peter your not making any sense mate!! One min my idea is "daft" then your agreeing there is no diff between east or west when you get to about 200 miles... So instead of going otterburn, conset thirsk ripon then into newark why can't we go west side i.e longtown and so with then after 5 races still end up at the likes of newark and leicster as you have already said there is no diff in it from west due to being in middle! So explain why its such a stupid idea! The birds are not jumping all over the place. There starting on west then working into middle. Same as starting on east and working into missle. As of the 13 north roaders there is not a lot that can be done. U wanna ban guys flying the north road?
-
Yeah but what I am asking peter is can it be done that we start at places like longtown and things and still end up at newark and leic for the 200+ races as I don't fancy another cheltenham race. Is it possible for that to happen if a club makes a proper route up at agm starting at longtown and then moving into middle as you say we do on east anyways
-
We flew west 2011 with ybs and altough never got as far as race programme should have (weather problems) I had a much better return season than I have had on east and only been as far as thirs (132mines) how ever I do feel from here and out to newark are fine as its not actually the east coast I have a problem with its the area of durham. I am only going to ask a question and I have no idea on answer so thoughts.... Is it possible to start west then work round and down more the middle i.e head into places like newark, leic and things. As on map there more middle. Yeah I know birds would still come up east but that's fine. As we are east coast fed. But it would eliminate libbing birds in the durham area where it has already been national news on the losses there. Might sound crazy but I can't see why u can't start with longtowns and things then gradually work down middle as even tho we went west 2011 most of time the birds came east of penines anyways as when home they came out east side here anyways but returns where good on whole as I believe we never libbed durham area

Well done all -
Happy birthday guys... Especially my old man (william) have a good day
-
I was in the good race catagory too with haveing 12-15 within the hours and up clocks. But when 3 of them members where up at clocks reporting the likes of 3-17 I am hardly going to jump about and say great race. I do feel this area is a night mare for some reason and yes the north in wind won't have helped. Gary tried to phone u today to come down. Needs to be morning with working so let me know if in 2moro??

What one you get Bobby? I got T M Patterson from plean as I have a hen there for the yb cock of toms And I got adam lukes from dunbar. Cracking jan aarden
-
No one is saying your wrong either and its your opinion. I done great on the basis of 7 show ones for 100 miles went and they are home but on the great scale of fed it was a hard one. Wether that was wind or area have no idea.
