My birds are out in aviary most weekends and bath put out for them (I do hot water with bath salts) They're on a high protein feed with loads off small seeds added for fats and oils, 3 times a week impact in water with sedochol 2 times a week. They're mostly on there last flights now and if honest there bouncing with condition. I hoover my corridor every day until feathers stop appearing clean floor every 2nd day and perches every weekend. I'll up the cleaning to floor daily and perches every second day starting November as that's show time approaching Birds are never out loft from the YB national right through to pairing up Mid Feb

I got boddy and ridewood ones the other day... 1st - 9th and 14 sets. Cost £33.95 that included the £5.95 delivery. I just done it online on there website. They arrived within 48 hours

This should not turn bitter or a slagging match its a good idea and could even open the door to better things for the interest of the pigeons and the sport of racing pigeons
-
I am just assuming the idea is after a certain distance to joint convoy? So young birds it would prob just be the open? Surely they would be experienced enough to drop out rather than over shoot! And I also doubt that they'd be coming into this area in big batches anyways
-
Yeah anyone tbh.... But I certainly would not say no to almond valley if that's the proposal! I'd love about 3/4 geds and a small combine type thing starting up after even the 150 miles mark! Almond valley - midlothian- central and pentland but it all depends on proposal! If the proposal is almond valley then I think it's great! They fly same line of flight and it's not like there numbers will be any higher than midlothian so there won't be much pull mate
-
I Don't need to speak to anyone mate, I know what's best for my birds and if my birds come up the road and go straight on there doing me a favour as obviously rubbish and no brain! I think it should be more Feds as we come into same area! After 200 miles most Feds are going down with motors half empty so makes sense to joint convoy! It's not like a dundee or that then that's rather crazy but I have no problem with this idea! I missed meeting
-
Almond valley birds cross over my head on a Saturday! What's the problem? I'll happily send with them after a certain distance! Birds go with national and drag all over the place least this fed is same line of flight

Yeah exactly!! Birds would be scattered everywhere! Do planes give out anything (signals) to try put batches of birds off flight!? I have heard stories that airports have a signal that when turned on knock birds all confused, I have heard stories of batch of pigeons looking like they have hit a brick wall but nothing actually there and they change course
-
Yeah there are a number of things now I believe, The airports have a lot to do with it, Until We can track birds we have no idea what's went wrong. Just the other week a video was on here of a batch hitting an aeroplane! We blame convoyers every bad race but have no idea the actual facts behind the bad races. And the more BOP and other things out there it will just get harder. Wont matter if 50 miles or 250 miles. The only thing is the pigeons more tired going through BOP are easier target! Seen many feds crossing my head and Percy on tail!!

-
Just another thing to add to long list of how hard racing pigeons is becoming...
-
I very much doubt it... If you held you'd have been slated... If brought back slated! No win and yes race was a disaster but as I say am blaming no one
