Malborough (SNFC and Midlothian fed) 4/06/11 ( North east wind 311 miles) 1st M D Winer & Dght 1231 (15th sec b 124th Open SNFC) 2nd W B Massey 704 No pools won and carried forward Disaster race for club members.... 2 birds home on the night from 43 birds entered We ourselfs were 1/10 and still the case up to present time. Our season is pretty much over now with only 3 natural racing hens left Full team of widow cocks sent and no returns, flying very well too!! Exactly.... People are saying the north east wind. Yeah was not ideal for SNFC but other feds had tail wind and got smashed. Also been 2 PB members say birds reported 80-100 mile north of there loft. So these birds have went head first into wind 2-3 hours on wing. Was because they were not homing right due to something!!

I am now a believer Peter. Never even heard of this before Sat. I was watching birds going over heading north then just turn and head west then east!! They where tired pigeons but just clueless to where they were!!

Got 8 cocks going into widow section this week. Will be first time we have done it. But after snfc race on sat we lost 7 widow cocks so thats whats going into section now

Was just speaking to secretary in an essex club when reporting a pigeon. They had bad races from both Dunbar and Berwick. They had a tail wind!!

Think even if I won the national yest I would have still woke up pig sick with the birds missing from our loft... Take a while to recover from the race yest. Still have hope of birds showing up but losing hope everytime I look out to see nothing sitting
