    What to do!!

Train 'em hard and often Darren it'll do your confidence loads o' good. As for the birds it'll do bugger all.
  2. Only ever use one prescription only medication and I get it from the vet. Why would you use something like Tylan licensed for turkeys.
  3. Taunton with the Warwick fed
  4. But you're gonna have some. We aint got none at all, gone, sold the lot. I hate youngsters, and won't miss 'em. All we want to do is find a new house. Race the old 'uns out to Palamos, Tarbes and Bordeaux and we will only have a very select few old 'uns too. ;D ;D ;D ;D
  5. Do you realy think I shold tell sec aswell
  6. Maybe trained too soon, and raced when not ready. Mine have been in the basket three times. Two twenty mile chucks, and then raced from Bath. I'd go for canker first, you can only tell through bad results or a swab test. I think you will agree you aint had a lot o' luck

  9. 33 out of 34. Like Darren we are most easterly and two guys well to the west of us had four in front. No complaints as that aint bad for our distance birds third time in the basket this year. As that's our first race we will hope for better next week.
  10. Try and get hold of Hyacinth she might be able to help. Look in the member centre or look for red rose lofts
  11. I dip in duramitex twice a year Ivermectin every 6 weeks and tabacco in the nest. Guess what no lice.
  12. Warwickshire at Bath lib 08.45 south wind
  13. Erected my new loft to only to find the door was locked with me inside. Rang my father inlaw to rescue me
  14. follow your local postman and you will find elastic bands put these round the flights and this wont do any permanent damage
  15. Have to say Darren sounds right, and I'd have a go with mine. The question is have they done eneough work and how well do they fly round home. Your call. Best o'luck Pete............
  16. Well mate that thing under your feet deffinately looks like a man but then again it could be a cross dresser
  17. Ivermectin and Moxidectin are basically the same thing just very different methods. Whatever you can beg steel or borrow will do.
  18. Yea I'd go with this. Treat for one thing at a time. Worms week one Canker the following week and Cocci the week after that. Cider vinegar in the water tablespoon per drinker three days a week. Garlic 2 or 3 days a week. Treat the lot. Best o' luck.
  19. To me it sounds great if you like putting petrol in the car. NOT FOR ME THANKS.
  20. do you have any birs yet
  21. All pigeons carry canker and need some resistance to it. I would treat the whole flock, Sparticks will do. I would use a tablespoon of cider vinegar and half a teaspoon of milton on alternate days. One of my best stock hens has a susceptabilty to canker but the first nest are always good. Every loft is likely to have its own variant of canker, abit like the common cold. IT ISN'T
  22. Tablespoon full of cider vinegar in drinker three days a week. canker e-coli
  23. If you can shut up shop in less than an hour you aint doin too bad. Good returns too. Well done mate.
  24. As long as they have plenty of work under the wing should be ok Rule of thumb. Double the intended distance training and racing and at least one race of half the distance. My yearlings will get 2x20 mile chucks 85, 122, 135, racing then first channel race Falaise 247 second chanel race two weeks later Alencon 297 third Saran 330 then Tours 356 that will see them finished for the season 350 miles is eneough for our yearlings. Best o' luck Pete.........
  25. Sounds good to me but try mon tues thurs or mon wed thurs also try and get the sire to not feed his babbies ie switch the feeders and me I don't rest the week before best o' luck happy birthday same as me brothers
