I've spent ages watching them in the loft today and have identified the cock who is building the nest and his chosen 'partner' what ever that turns out to be!! :) Yeah Speck..."so much banter" having just read the new Code of Conduct about staying on thread I guess the moderators will be removing it!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've had two strays trap with my birds over the last couple of months and, amazingly they have both been pure white!! They were not rung so, I know they're not my original escapees but, possibly :-/ their offspring?!,

I separated my cocks and hens about a month ago but one of the cocks is still building nests - does this mean there's a hen in with them that I've thought is a cock? :-/

Beautiful birds Fifer. Whites are definitely my favourite. I've 18 left now - got throught the season with only two losses, then had a couple of bad releases and accidently let the stock birds!! >

I agree, a posting policy so that everyone knows where the goal posts are. It must be explicit and short or members will sign, in agreement, without bothering to read it! (Like those things on new software that I tick without reading!!) Anyone who then posts, not in accordance with the policy, can expect their posts to be removed. They should have one warning and, if they continue, should themselves be removed from the forum!! IMHO :

Watching how they returned to where they thought the loft was at exactly feeding time has made me think/realise that I need to be more consistent in the times I feed!
