similar to lewis i have been training 13 birds but will leave some out but will choose on thursday morning
  21. there was friday liberations due to take place but both races held over maybe there was another that went on friday
  22. 1. get a professional weather forecast team to supply us with up to date weather forecast on call 24 hours a day put our faith in the guys who take the job on of race controller and back them with no expense spared to do the job correctly send them on a course at the met office make contacts with the people who can help us get our pigeons home go for the line of flight of the shortest crossing of the english channel of dover to calais send the race control team over to look at the available good sites on that route two changes i would like to see for next season
  23. if your referring to me only posting information i received on Saturday night and i went to the bother of checking it out and getting someone to back it up and by me posting has pissed you off most of the snfc members are in the same frame of mind and are looking for an answer or theory on why our birds are lost so we can hopefully stop it happen again or do we just except it and move on
  24. Thank you Peter for your honest reply
  25. i also believe jim hannah would not have let the birds go with fog in front of them he can only go with the information he has received. To me something has gone wrong very wrong with the information given to the race control team no matter who we vote into place or remove from race controlling if you tie one hand behind there back they wont be able to do the job http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/training/calendar#ft line of contacts paid for by the snfc to give the correct information and race controllers paid and trained for a very tough job they do and having the most up to date weather forecasting information no expense spared to do the job properly sweeping it under the carpet and hoping it goes away will not help in the future if it costs me another £20 on my dues to help with the cost then that's fine as it cost a lot more for me to train, feed and prepare my birds for the gold cup race sadly that never got a chance to prove my methods wrong or right
