in your opinion what would get you vote for the best strain of racing pigeons. if you put a post up only mention 1 strain and the distance you find that strain good at some fanciers might need to mention 2 strains .as may be crossing to strains serve their purpose it might make good reading and be helpful to some other fanciers.as a wide variety of members are on that race birds all over UK and Ireland. at sprint /middle/long distance in club fed and national level. i would give van loons my vote as race well enough for me from 60 to 400 miles

lows old bird racing partly my falt burning candle both ends breeding racing.also a low with the holdovers at s.n.f.c races and change of race point.highs yb racing had best season with yb,s .in fed all yb races bar 1 and ended it with 2x 1st fed yb open yb nat.topped of today with my 1st class winner at a show.a good ending to a bad start

it is not the money side if we had a bigger convoy coming in to same area at the later races that would suite me.

i am happy whare i am but would be a lot happier with a few changes thanks.give it a thought 25p per birds save cash more birds coming up the road less chance of 1 of mine or yours getting hit by bop. more chance of getting through a clash with other feds. also birds would race faster as more birds = faster velocity. going with pentland fed for some races given the chance would benifit midlothian fanciers and birds. we keep hearing how bad pigeon racing is doing .time to try and get along we are all in the same area.

as for gold ring race i have a few members that would take part but been told it would need to be run by fed. so will put it by evelyn to see if it could be brought up at agm.maybe by show of hands.

don,t do anything with birds .1 of my dogs is very scared so givin her serene-um calm tablets for 1st time .been told they work used to give a vally. the other dog her sister does not bother a jot. when their a loud bang 1 is scared but does not seem as scared if i tell the other dog to fetch it.the other dog goes daft like she want to attact it. be glad when it is over fireworks only good for the bops

as for the price of birds on the pentland motor it was 25p per bird it is 35p per in our fed this year 50p at opens but still only 25p per bird on pentland. so we all would save a few quid going with them.as for control of birds liberation's.pentland fed have a good team for convoying birds and liberating them. if i am totally honest and don,t want an argument i would have more faith in raymond mcnamee (pentland conveyor) than my own fed for some races. even if it stayed at 35p per bird 25p to pentland for transport and 10 in to our fed funds. it makes sence to have a bigger convoy coming up the road.their is to much them and us like 2 football teames.we are all fanciers and want what best for our birds.

thats for the 2nd you gave me just back from show it was well run thanks to Brian.the judges done a very good job especially s girwood (in my humble opinion) as the 2 classes he judged i got 1st in 1 and 2nd in the other.a good day for me with one 1st two 2nd,s one 3rd and a 5th.the best i have done at any show.brian will be on later with winers and some photos.

gets my vote to go to any race point and lib with pentland fed.g cairns and son. are you sure we only had 3 on yb nat result. who was the other fancier
