I have a few pair of show wests that I let out of the loft depending on the weather. They can fly with my race birds if they get spooked and fly off but most of the time they spend the day picking around the garden and sitting on the loft. Hope you get them back Blue, the weather forecast isn't too good over the next few days.

Wishful thinking Gary lol, I'll hopefully get a few more races out of the programme this year just have to see what way I'm working coming nearer the time of the channel

Its the same arguements and excuses everywhere in most clubs Ghostrider and it usually comes from the older members who don't like change and haven't a progressive bone in their body through the fear of the change and listening to the stories about cheating with pads being placed everywhere on race days. Unfortunately looks like you have a job on your hands convincing your lot so good luck on your venture and hopefully something will click the switch and put on the light in their heads and make them see sense. By the way I have an ETS system (tipes) for over 2 years now and it is still sitting in the original box in the house as I haven't got around to getting it set up yet

Welcome Kevin, my advice would be to keep it as simple as possible and have a system that falls into your routine. As already been said if you go to a good flier within your surrounding area and ask if he would be willing to sell you a few latebreds to get you started and hopefully he'll be generous enough to give you them for free.
