  1. Yea mate,Thanks, i am a joiner by trade
  2. The reason i say that do it first time, i built a new young bird loft 3/4 months ago i front of my old bird loft, it is coming down this week to build a new one next to the old bird loft with the same roof, it make a differance in condition of the birds and the ventalation is so much differant, i put some smoke bombs in it and the ventalation worked ok, but not as good as the old birds roof
  3. yea mate, the widowhood loft,
  4. This is the best i have ever had, tiled at the back but you could use metal sheets and polycarbonate at front but the coregated stuff would do, mate sure you put shutters in to control the light and heat, there is no point in making do, i would say go for the best, if it takes longer atleast you wont have to change it
  5. No mate. not at all, i am not using the new ring as i dont like it, i am sticking with the leg ring, thats what i am saying, i just dont see the point, i woould rather spread it on the two legs than have it all on the one and a spare leg, that i will just put a address ring on anyway, i am going to just use the leg ring and get the stickers
  6. Why did you get 2 T3s when you could have got a bricon for 250 and have 8 race in the one clock :-/
  7. 1.10 they are, i dont mind the ring, i think people have gone over the top with it all, but i dont like the chips, they dont seem secure, the belg ones last year imo were better than these ones, i dont see the point with it all anyway, if the chip was built in to a normal ring it would be good, but then it would cost more and people would moan then, no one can win :-/
  8. I wish i would get asked for ID, i havn't been asked since i was 15 ;D ;D
  9. welcome back, nice to see the youth back on this site
  10. I like it the other way, open them up 8 hours before sun goes down, and put the shutters on after dark, that way they get to perch without trying to in the dark, also it gives me time when the old birds are done and i can take my time with them not needing to rush
  11. Perfect mate
  12. Virkon s a couple of times a year, you cant beat it imo, but day in day out for drinkers and loft cleaning and trays for visitors feet i use milton fluid
  13. Wasn't a dig at ya mate, i know loads of succesful flyers that do, i just dont like it :-/
  14. Its ok, i am 22 and i wish i was retired ;D to spend more time with the birds
  15. hessian is perfect, i dont like to close vents coz i think that is were the problems start with darkness pigeons, i does not have to be pitch black,
  16. good stuff and i always use it, i soak beer mats in it andput them under the nest bowls, it keeps mite away from young in nest, the engine oil helps it stay on the top of wood and repel rain more and last longer,
  17. If the rings cost more and had the chip built in (unable to get it out) then i could see a problem, but it cost the same and just has two lugs on it, i just dont see why people have got a problem with it, if you want to put a chip on you will, if you dont then dont
  18. Would the same people moan if we were using a stall trap, then going over and using the pad in your hand to scan it :-/ i use the ETS not for speed but for convenience
  19. [mail][/mail] Right, it cant get back out, what my question is, when i raced open door i ran in and got the pigeon them opened the door and let it back out when clocked, is that illegal ? NO If i can get the bird to land on my arm and clock it with a T3 is that illegal? NO, i would be gaining time on everyone else, I say if people want to take a chance by putting pads everywere hoping the bird will land there its up to them, they only kid themselves :-/ You still have to get the bird home and down
  20. here it is
  21. Sorry, it works if you copy and paste in to the www address bar :B
  22. No point giving up mate, not at this time of year, you can still save your season by getting some young birds to enjoy, i have had lofts burnt down and birds killed more than once, i no that i am only young but the people that did this too me are not in the sport no more and i am, its just a set back, all the best in what ever you choose to do
  23. Happy birthday
  24. Same as me mate, when you think they are broke out just let them have a bath, it sometimes takes them a bit to realise they can fly again anyway Get someone to hold the bird, put the washing up liquid on your hands an just rub it down the flights, works great
