think you will find that one eyed cold is a vitamin deficency but is contagous one eyed cold tablets are still available from OLD HAND you can tell if its one eyed cold by the bubbles in the eye if not gently open the eye with your thumb and first index finger and lick the eye with your tongue or better still with your DOGS tongue if you have one other than that just let nature take its course

what need would you have to put a split banded ring on as you would not be able to race it you would be better putting a name and address ring on it as a means of identification in case it went missing

3 rows of 18x9x4 inch solid concrete blocks running the length of the loft with damp proof membrane on top of them if the floor spars run the same way as the blocks you will need to put 3x3 inch bearers across at 3 foot intervals but usually the spars run from front to back so you will not need to put bearers in

yes we are going friday morning

the only doubt i would have about buying birds from a stud at BLACKPOOL is the fact that most of the birds on offer have already being looked at by hundreds of fanciers throuout the 2006 season and disgarded as not to their choice lets be realistic if they were any good as breeders they would not be there tred carefully you new starters and if you are not fully satified with what you see then dont buy it remember i said most studs not all as some will offer decent stock Maybe the signs on some of the stalls should read END OF SEASON FINAL CLEARANCE SALE ALL STOCK MUST GO
-
take a long good look at the thousands of birds on offer over the BLACKPOOL weekend Apart from the WALL LUNT GREEN GALLEY SALE you can put on one hand the actual winners in these sales WHY

all species when treated for a illness have foreign bodies put into their system be it man dog bird etc etc this is to cure a complaint when the complaint is cured stop using it abuse is when you continue using it because you think it may help you up the result sheet YES its been said that fanciers have used baytril as a pep up when in fact its a broad spectrum antibiotic USE it dont abuse it no wonder half the birds in this country are propped up failures ITS getting out of hand we are more interestd in shoving things down the birds throat than understanding how birds tick look at the stalls at BLACKPOOL more and more medicine stalls all crammed with fanciers trying to buy the magic formula Hands up how many of us if offered something that was said would make your birds win each week would honestly ask what was in it

pigeon racing is a 24/7 sport as we all know clocking in is just 1small part of it we dont work on our birds all week just for the thought of catching our birds on return from a race Our enjoyment is got by exercising them training them motivating them taking them to the club for marking and having banter with fellow members and the most exciting part is those few seconds when we spot one of our birds finishing to the loft thats makes your throat dry and goose pimples all over CLOCKING yes quicker the better but hey the adrenelin rush is all ready over the next excitement is going to the club to see how youve done if you win GREAT if not lick your wounds and come out fighting the next week in conclusion CLOCKS come in all shapes and sizes and there is only a few secs beetween them all we personally would welcome ets as we think its a step forward but we are quite happy as things are

consistancy with food territory is slightly different you have to be observant and see which birds value their box more than their partner
-
self belief in your own judgement almost all FIRST pairings are down to judgement and a little bit of LUCK
-
you should only rear enough young birds that can live comfortably in the size of loft you have for them any more and you are asking for trouble
