Don't know where you stay but if it's training yer birds from a mile from yer loft don't send ta the races , I certainly don't know everything about racing pigeons but what I definately know if they don't go away in perfect conditions there certainly won't be a race , what has the weather got ta d we yer back yard

Davy yer gan too fast for me I can't understand far yer coming fa what has Perth got ta d we bloody Brechin and Forfar , Perth is not a problem it's not in the fed race program , the point is Arnistan , the race point is closed , and we need ta get it sorted , for the race across the forth , that's the only prob I see in this post , sort yer Perth race and huggin the grampians at the AGM ?

There was no break between old & Young races , so here we go , extend the racing , we're just doing the same this year , there is no difference between Brechin & Forfar , but as reports have been bad about perigans , which we have seen in abundance , that something is upsetting the birds from Forfar and Dumfermilne , the distances is Brechin , 71 miles ta the furthest members in fed , Forfar 80 miles ta the furthest in fed , and Arniston 130 ta the furthest in fed , SIMPLE the way ta go is Brechin , Brechin , Arniston , if they can't take a small jump of 40 50 mile jump in 3 races better getting rid of them ?

They are flying well they had the only bird on the fed list last week and there loft is in the west sec and didn't get there 1 st west section ticket , I did enquire ta our president and asked him why as his loft is west of Banff and it was going ta be looked into well done again ta very nice YOUNG FANCIERS XX

Yes Alan there is some that will go hundreds of miles over the years I've heard some stories of there travels ta other countries they don't do that in a few hrs , but it's good ta see there's some getting picked up , one of mine went into mcaley & ferguson on the Sunday , I don't like them going into other lofts but we don't know what happened on Sunday hope the rest of the races goes weel ?

So you think that birds in Sunday was just flying 70 miles , well not bloody one was flying 70 of 80 miles , and I believe honestly there was a lot of them youngsters still raking roon the sky at 12 hrs , and yes some flew 400 miles na bother , there is some that will go down early the ones with hard mussel that melts like butter in a hot day , but birds with soft mussel will fly , a lot longer , and why feed mixture in the first place ta make them sick food for thought , I don't ?

Stephen yer the perfect poster of bloody gloom , look it's a queer race , I've been in the doos for 51 years and there's always been QUEER racing ie , atmospherics , etc has always been a topic in doo racing , the main reason for birds not getting back home in queer racing is feed the bloody things , and if they have ta meet serious problems on route , they have bloody fuel ta get home , no matter what car y drive , it still needs fuel otherwise y walk , this is young birds don't feed them for 10 & 20 on the drop feed them for there schooling , ta get home the size of our fed , there should be 2 Brechins , before racing starts one trainer from the west only west sec birds , ie on a Monday , and another from the east sec on the wed , then first 2 races from Brechin all birds on lorry ta start the race program , I am sure it would make a difference , and fund the races by holding squeaker sale , and am sure every fancier would willing pay a tenner each for lorry driver wages I know that would get yer birds ready for the races they have later on in life , food for thought ?

But Stephen were all doo men and we can only send a bird that is capable of competing against the short or longest flyers , but for god sake why is the very first rule in the rules is this is the National F/ C and birds (will ) be liberated as early as possible weather permitting , and this so called rule is never been USED , nobody is trying ta stop you or anyone else from conditioning yer birds , but have you ever been working all day and then start another shift are you not fatigued , I know I was , these birds are being forced doon by darkness every National , by letting them up for the shorter flyers ta get home as I said how much times have you or anyone else timed in a bird flying 5 ta 600 miles after 10 30 PM , it's a bloody disgrace that the hrs of darkness is 11 pm ta 4 - 30 and I must add Stephen , why was this ever changed from 10 - 45 ta 4 - 45 and has this never been taken up at the AGM as I've reported it in different occasions , and never taken up otherwise wheelie bin job ?

I've been a member of SNFC for 49 years and never been a early lib , and rule 1 states birds will be liberated as early as possible weather permitting , and the hrs of darkness was changed from 10 - 45 to 4 - 45 Stealing 30 min off the longest flying birds , why was this rule never been ad eared too , it's definately not being sportsmen take a look in the mirror and be honest it's criminal please post all yer times ye have timed in after 10 - 30 pm put the rightfull hrs of darkness back ta what it was , and give all the convoy a bloody fair chance ,
