very little protein for me with the young birds,if they have been on the darkness then they have a lot of protein for the time they are on it,when racing fat pigeons dont win races,low protein .a good widowhood mix and diet mix 50/50.

dont think 15 miles is far enough would get a few 30 milers in before risking them,i find that they get pulled about everywhere if they havent had enough training. your shout but if you like them dont put them in till they have had those 30 milers,

Dont think the idea of midweek racing will make a lit of difference,the Brussels race was on friday and there were still losses and a lot of good fanciers were clocking in an hour after the national winner,if we were all together we would have such a large birdage that the flyers on the conytnent will make sure they are not going to clash with a large convoy crossing back into WALES.I am personally still 8 missing from brussels and there was a 30 minute gap between my first 2 pigeons.

To me its more like the welsh north road OPEN., there are so many Nationals in Wales now theres no prestige for winning a national,all the so called nationals this week have had losses and some fanciers lost a lot more than others . Good race with the south west glamorgan today from Newbury,birds up at 9.15 home in 1 hr 37 minutes 5 dropped together,1st 2nd 3rd 4th and possibly 5th.

Paul we liberated from Newbury at 9.15 this morning,clocking in at 10 45,so birds passing you at 10 am,that could be your answer,about 45 mins from newport.

Rhondda valley fed were at Newbury today and they took a hammering,leading birds taking 2 30 minutes for only 90 miles,some fanciers not clocking until after 3hrs,very erratic returns,loads missing,dont know if this is anywhere near you,best of luck hope you get them back.

Very fast race didnt expect them that quick 3.hrs 58 for 267 miles thats too fast,quite a few missing,coming back from down west.Hope they turn up.all the best ones missing???
