Sunday was the first bad race we have had with the South West Glamorgan Fed,up until this weekend we have had brilliant racing, even the old bird racing was brilliant up until Bonn. It seems to me that the Welsh North Road do things totally different to all the other feds in Wales. They are not in the combine they have a different race programme where they are far in front of everyone with regards to racepoints, for instance we are only in Guilford this week 132 miles to me and they are already in Maidstone 180 miles, young birds need education and given confidence, they just seem to want to lead the way and get as far as possible down the road before anyone else,i can see clubs leaving them for this reason, the racing has been very POOR to say the least. Another point aboiut sundays race why didnt the feds pull all at the same time ? were we in the same lib site ? surely it would have been better to all go together ? at the moment i have 7 missing and a lot of people have faired a lot worse than myself.Together would have been a lot better.

-
Yes your right it was the Steve Marsh blue white flight cock, just looked at the pedigree, had some brilliant birds from him.
-
i fly staff van reets, and if my memory is correct i had a blue white flight cock off you a few years ago, well he has bred me loads of winners, including one blue cock that won 4 1sts as a young bird,in the fed every week, another young cock won this year as a yearling,8 th combine 11000 odd birds, good pigeons.
-
Just in dropped in and its really poor, drizzle and mist, GB 09 C 03999 anyone know who it belongs to. thanks
-
Thanks for the info, have some on the way .. thanks
-
Use it once a month for the young birds against bacterial infections.
-
Does anyone know where this can be obtained. thanks.
-
i have used it once, wont use again,it really looks harsh on the birds, you will wish you hadnt used it.good product but the after effects are horendous. good luck mate.
-
They say young bird sickness is brought on by STRESS, with the ammount of hours these young birds are having to put in ,after a bad race its no wonder they are coming down with sickness,i dont think the Welsh nr fed have had a good young bird race yet this year, hope things improve next week for you. Cant get any worse can it.
-
absolutley correct. if we were all in the same place and liberated together it would not happen, all those pigeons coming into wales, how many times have we said it,other feds would want to know where we were and make an effort to avoid the welsh birds ,but like Tom said thats a long way off. pity really because theres a lot of unhappy fanciers in the Welsh North road after yet another CRAP race yesterday. We had a very good race yesterday with the south west glam fed.lib 7.30.Come on lads theres enough leaving the sport already, lets sort it out someway or another.
-
roberts last 3 pigeon came out of the north looks as if they have caught onto birds going up. hope they appear before they go to far.
-
Dont think so George Bryant in our club sent 49 and had them all, very few losses, although not many sent.Steve Bright only sent 15 but had them all. spoke to Robert Hyde in Merthyr and his are well trained ,today he had 9 from 20 and has had enough, every week the same, nigel.Swindon to him 70 od miles.
-
SOUTH WEST GLAMORGAN LIBERATED AT 7.30 SENT 37 AND GOT THEM ALL. HAD 6 DROP TOGETHER. RHONDDA VALLEY LIB AT 6.55 THEY ALSO HAD A GOOD RACE WITH GOOD RETURNS.
-
Brilliant returns with the South west Glamorgan we were at hullavington liberated at 7.30. only 52 miles to me,and i think that is far enough for the 1st race for young birds.sent 37 and all home, perhaps you should look at starting at a shorter race. Hope they return ,nothing worse than a bad start to the young bird season.
