  1. Anyway - forgive the question & I'm not trying to wind anybody up - But isn't it good for the fanciers in Scotland to have 2 lots of Scottish "National" type races??? Agree, they shouldn't be on the same day like they have been sometimes - but in essence isn't variety the spice of life??
  2. Bl**dy is an all when you're talking in excess of £100,000.00 !! Mike
  3. Tammy - Yes- absolutely !!
  4. MCC at Yelverton (sent 7). Worcester Fed at Kingsdown (Sending 4) C'MON YOU BAGGY BOYS! Mike
  5. Richard Absolutely - all Chris did was to supply a link of another organisation that offers racing in Scotland. He wasn't having a pop at the SNFC, all he said was "for followers of Scottish racing here's another link to consider using"... If the SNFC fans get their back up about that, then that's their problem. Mike
  6. Yep - Super Ben most expensive pigeon ever purchased
  7. Dunno - heard it off a family relative but the source was good enough. Never mind- it WILL happen
  8. Yep - looking forward to it - might be the last inland OB one we'll ever get
  9. Word is imminent- like in the next hour !
  10. We won it - 1st & 2nd - both 2 1/2 mins clear... Aye - excellent race with good returns for once!
  11. The lads have a choice on a Tuesday night whether we wanna go early or late. Every single member voted early lib - cracking race. vel 1338
  12. Nee worries - got result now.
  13. Anyone raced Taunton today? Ours up at 09:00 - approx 200 birds up on their own. 131 miles - 2 hrs 52 mins. (2 together) - sent 7 Any times from Taunton into Midlands? Heard nowt & off Triathlon training now Mike
  14. We'll be trying BigK - just like everyone else. Alan - ours go down with Hammond but we liberate on our own. Normally 09:00 ish
  15. Best exponent of the old original Van Hee is Brian Denney of York. Dad had em in 74 & they won barrel loads at the distance before he sold up
  16. Yes, i'd have sent if I could've guaranteed a holdover -but there always see,s a chance ours will go - no matter what the weather & I wasn't prepared to take the chance to be honest... No regrets... MCC this week, MNFC the week after. Sending 8 in the Midweek on Wednesday to stretch their wings a little.
  17. Good lad - best o' luck We kept ours off this weekend- didn't fancy the holdover
  18. Entered 10 for Saturday's race Alan......
  19. Hey Alan You sending??
  20. John If you're a smart cookie you'll advise to hold 'em.
  21. Solihull (Near NEC) High cloud but overcast - good visibility. Threat of rain
  22. Exeter by the way - not Yelverton. Will have a day with wife & kids instead & turn me mobile off. Always got MCC and MNFC in the next fortnight
  23. Like what?? I was p!ssed off about it before so I did the Race Controllers job myself in 2004 and 2005 before I got sacked. My crime? 1st YB Fed race of the season on a 50-50 day & I refused to loose em when everybody else did & had crap races. They can bugger off, but i'll send my pigeons when & where I feel we'll get decent racing. I'd like to move Fed's - thep roblem is most of em in the Midlands are all cowboys. They hardly ever hold em
  24. Worces Fed & B'Ham Sat Fed both Yelverton. Not sent - forecast not clever ono ur line of flight & I've no faith in those calling the shots.
  25. Hyacinth - I'm far from wrong. Gord and I have been corresponding on this for years - way way before I became a member on here. Allen - That wasn't what I was saying at all. All I said was it was my opinion that emailing the Seco f State was ill advised & I still believe it to be the case. If hundres wanna go ahead & do it then I'm not stopping 'em am I?? That's my last on this one
