  1. We use em at this time of year. Birds look bang on
  2. Well.. That and running 50-60 miles a week keeps me going !! 8) :D
  3. Sounds good value to me - especially when you see unproven YBs on here for same amount - hes' already bred 'em!
  4. Question of genetics mate - I was born right !!! ;D ;D ;D
  5. I'm sure Ribble will tell you if he wants you to know mate !
  6. Chill Compo Never let em get to you. There's geezers on here I could willingly throttle I guess but I just never allow em to get to me. I don't go down to their level. Chin up buddy
  7. No worries Compo I know what you've got - where you had em from & what you paid. It was just a word of advice to other forum members really that amongst an awful lot of cr@p that I see advertised on here these are actually very good value for money. Mike
  8. If I had to use one product and one product only then it would be STRIKE. As for Creatine based products - nah - unnecessary
  9. If I had to use one product and one product only then it would be STRIKE. As for Creatine based products - nah - unnecessary
  10. Widowhood & Darkness Simple as that Ebony & Ivory.
  11. Compo has class pigeons
  12. I'd like to congratulate one of me mates on buying Lot 5. Stunning piece of purchasing & what a bargain too!! The parents of this hen are REALLY breeding the goods. How do I know? Simple... The "son" of Madgin & Son is me brother-in-law !!! Yeah Baby Yeah !! ;D ;D ;D
  13. Wonder who bought that Stu :X 8) :)
  14. Of course you can go overboard- and listen to this - the MAJORITY of what is on the market is unlicensed CRAP. Observe your birds drinking. I do ours. They drink Strike & Gemthepax like normal water. But Yes - a lot of our stuff goes on the corn & clear water in the drinkers. Take "Strike" - its never advertised on the tub as going on the corn - only on the drinker. But since I started writing about it on the corn I know sh!t loads of blokes have phoned Gem up and asked if its ok to do so. Of course it is, because its 100% natural goodness. It is physically IMPOSSIBLE to overdose on that or Gemthepax
  15. Some will say you don't need products... But does Paula Radcliffe perform on just tap water? Me thinketh NOT.
  16. Just added M & D EVANS !!! **********************
  17. Disagree to be honest "me" Its all about preparation - you can race the darkness as YBs and do very well at 500 miles plus. I can find you as many examples as you want. The thing is "most" aren't capable of hacking 14+ hrs on the wing - whether they were dark youngsters or not. They're special birds that are that resolute - but darkness has no bearing on it. Trust me, I've seen it shedloads of times verifying winners of 1st Open MNFc 1st Open MCC 1st Section NFC. Just speaking from experience here - not opinion
  18. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Chris Little won Scotish National at 440 miles- darkness as baby - won 1st Open Cholet 557 miles only bird on the day - that was a darkness baby too. It don;t make no difference. They have it" or "they don't". Darkness don;t make no difference. We sent 1 to Bergerac 550+ miles - NE wind - won over £1000.00 He was a darkness baby too.
  19. Absolutely - our vents are not obstructed in any way
  20. We use black-out curtains - its TOTALLY dark. OPf course you can use one dark one not - the dark aint gonna move cos they ca'nt see owt
  21. Our drinker stays in the loft & we're definitely 100% dark. Done it 50% - 100% over the last decade or so - 100% is best (in our experience).
  22. Hi Steve Top tackle that - drop me a PM when you get a minute mate
  23. When our YBs are darkened you can't see your hand in front of your face so I do'nt see a problem, Just ensure birds are thoroughly fed & watered before darkening down
  24. On racedays we'd feed at least 5 hrs before going to the race - but on no occasion would we EVER go twice a day. Never ever ever ever ever .... Ever
  25. About time too innit ?
