  1. i know it seems fruitless but some of them went before their time.plus my team is a little depleted.it would be nice to get a few of them back.we can but hope.
  2. my first race of my first season was from swindon.i was out the back unfortunately but all birds returned .race 2 was from newbury(76 miles)still out the back and dropped 3 .race 3 back to newbury,a good improvement this week,my birds were 4th club ,13th section and 21st open .was really pleased with this result as the team was not raced last year they are a strong team of yearlings but very inexperienced.this week at epsom for race 4 (121 miles).had a early bird but damn ets ring would not register on pad.had to clock 2nd bird which came 20 mins later.but despite the teething problems i am really impressed with the way in which the team is progressing.looking forward to next week,we are at dover (193 miles)got 5 cocks to go.the rest have been stopped for next year.good times.
  3. please take a look at my list of missing birds.some of them have been missing for quite some time but a few are quite recent.all of them are welcome back.if you have one of these birds please let me know,my contact numbers are 01633894977 or 07758850764.e-mail pgingell01@btinternet.com i promise that i will pick the bird up immeadiately.all of the birds are wing stamped. whu2009n00731,00733,00734,00735,00736,00739,00740,00742,00743,00744,00745,00746,00748,00749,00750,00752,00755,00756, 00757,00760,00613,00616,00617,whu2008n16247,16246.i am a fairly new fancier to the sport and would like to get back as many of my lost birds as possible.thank you for looking.paul

hi.its nice to be back on again.my question is,does anyone know where i can purchase ets rings for the unikon system.thanks paul.
  7. good morning tom.just had a race bird drop in,trouble is its one from last week.lol.got my heart racing for a minute.
  8. i had that in my loft last year and i must admit that the birds who were ill and recovered seem better and stronger for it.but each bird is different.i personally dont think that your birds are at a disadvantage,as long as their fit and well now theres no reason why they cant give the others a run for their money.
  9. i have 9 cocks going to newbury this week.weathers good so looking forward to a good race.
  10. the weathers looking good.clear skies and light winds, lots of sunshine.perfect conditions
  11. i have a team of yearlings also but mine are exercising well and have been succesfully trained.there have been losses along the way but i think they are as ready as they,ll ever be.if you have any doubts about their readyness then do not send them.it would be a shame to lose them before they reached their full potential.
  12. its our first race this sat,a quick one from swindon.are any other new fanciers entering their fist race this weekend.
  13. don,t worry, they have probably got other things on their mind with it being springtime.some days mine will exercise for nearly 2 hours other days they will exercise for 10 mins and thats it.personally i dont think you have anything to worry about.enjoy them.paul
  14. i would tend to agree,it does state on the back of the pack that it is suitable for pigeon lofts and once dry you can let your birds back in there.it kills the pmv bug as well as bird flu and other nasties.ideal for a good cleanse.
  15. one of the stolen birds a blue cock has returned today(tues).he,s a little underfed but otherwise unharmed.i,m not sure if he escaped or was released, but i really wish he could talk.they still have six birds that belong to me and i would like them back.the police have not been able to catch anybody so far,but then they did,nt have much to go on.
  16. keep me away as well. ;D
  17. i do have a dog,i know it sounds funny but we took her along with us for the day.wish i had left her behind, but then knowing my luck they would have stolen her as well. ;D ;D
  18. thats true also.i think i will be going for a hidden one along with a good fence because my rear garden is quite excessible from the outside.
  19. i wonder if we should be posting pics of our birds and lofts,as these could be used for identification by a would be thief during a break-in.just a thought.
  20. someone who beleives in the corporal punishment like me. ;)
  21. very true.its worth spending a few pounds more and getting a good one.but as you say if they don,t look at the camera then its worthless.
  22. i work for focus but i know the ones we have are expensive.
  23. i was just looking them up on the internet, seems like a good idea the way things are these days.
  24. if anyone does come around showing interest in your birds be wary.its a shame because the genuine ones are going to suffer.
  25. ;D got something better than a barking dog.my misses. ;D ;D.ouch she heard me.
