watch as much dvds on pigeons as posible , ie secrets of champions and read as much books as possible I started up again 7 years ago and it has changed a lot since I was a kid, specialy the health side of things, go to the best 2 flyers in ur area and try and buy birds of these guys, and b prepared for a lot of hard work.

Some other Cocks are just kicking the other cocks out there boxes, I have tried locking them up in there own box and locking up the pair that are getting bullyed out but as soon as they are both opend up the bully takes over >

Spot on I race in the NW Fed our members voted against it :'( :'( The reason being that we were losing money going with the National??? dont understant that one, we will be lucky to have 300-500 birds at the last couple of races. I will be sending my birds to the National that day not the fed.

Good to see they can get a loft right, I spent 4 grand with them and all I got was rain getting in and resp problems till I got it rite myself, I would never recomend them to anyone and getting ride of my Blakes loft was the best thing I ever done , also started winning once it was gone > > > > >

I do my nest boxes with a mix of disenfectant and creosote every year but I do blowtorch them after it to get rid of fumes I dont think doing the outside of your loft will cause any harm, but do it on a sunny day anyway

if there not getting enough grit and minerals, they will drink nore water this giving your birds watery dropings.

I have had them for 2 years bread by bob fenech, I have not raced them much due to traveling within my work, but I have bread young birds for three fancers in the pasrt two years and they have all won with them one lad upto 6500 birds . I have only raced a couple of young bird races with them , managed fed positions, without being on darkness, this year ill find out if I can race them ;)

I agree my fed race on the same day as the two inland Nats, from the same distance and there will be only be 200-400 birds at these races, I can fly in the Nat with birdage upto 5000 much better racing, not just nat racing that needs a change so does fed racing

Wind play`s a big part in our sport, and there will be better birds on the day depending where ye are, but at the end of the day people only look to see who won . nobody remembers whos 2nd unless thats you ;D ;D ;D ;D

In my club there may be one or two lads who fly all channel races and about 8 who fly the inland ones, these guys wouldent get a chance to race in a national and most younger guys dont want to sit around waiting on birds all day and night . thats why the way it is now is fine , everyone get a chance to race in a national.

Don’t most guys just pool in the the section and region, cant they just make the prize money to say the first five bird in each section PS as you guess I dont know how prize money works ;D ;D
