500 mile racing in some feds is no longer the pinacle of the season a lot just stop at or before the inland nationals,We were talking about east france(belguim)/ west france races ,in 2006 i was 5th open lessay (cherbourg) 2ND open was r. nisbet cockburnspath i got 18 miles from him, p patrick was 4th open i gave him overfly but if we were racing from reims or arras east france i get 55 miles off r nisbet and 20 odd miles off pete patrick i would have been 2nd/3rd open as the overfly from k.buchannan would have been bigger as well he was 3rd open and wasn,t that far ahead of me, thats why ive said racing from that side helps the west boys get their true overfly hope this clears it up john

listen mate i race against a few guys in my club that use it i,ve never seen where their pads are and dont know if they have been checked by officials ,im not knocking it at all i just think that the pad should be behind bob wires or something and checked and sealed in place to be fair on everybody thats all

were talking about the shu rule not the rpra rule ,anyway why is pad allowed to be outside the loft under boards etc why not inside the loft simple and no arguements

im not anti ets, i think the wording of some rules are wrong thats all ,by the way the shu rules on that are worded differently
