  1. you can down here pay fed fees and pay club that mark birds norm birdage as per norm no club honours but still get fed honours
  2. think u can join feds as independants theres a few in our fed with no clubs they just race for fed cards
  3. water goes in watering can and then miltons steriliser stand overnight
  4. raced natural for yrs in the sprints always 5 mins behind winners but over the water they come into their own on a hard day. but found roundabout good for both short or long cocks came very well on sprints hens very good over the distance
  5. better social side bk in the 70s fanciers would get together alot share there tales over a few beers breed new starters ybs and do it for free showed a more freindly atmosphere than it is today with alot of good fanciers not hlpin ne new starters with advice cos of a fear they may get beaten social side not there now and i for one miss it

  7. forgot to say hens i pair to flying out stock cocks and dont pair the hens to these cocks till may june time so its the hens 1st nest of the season so they are extra keen
  8. natural hens a good hen very keen say sitting 10-12 days is hard to beat. cocks i race on roundabout find they are keener that way

  10. agree with ib i never treat just cider vinegar and honey mixture had them tested 5 wks ago very slight pressence but given clean bill of health i do this all yr round and whether im just lucky i dont know but dont seem to have yb losses like others but then i dont clean ybs out i believe in natural immunity jmo

  14. im afraid to say that having a non fancier in the rpra namely mr bills who thinks that supportin all these charieties is more important than the members that pay his wages they should be workin for us to keep this sport /hobby alive rather than worrying about others we need a complete shake up in the rpra and get good honest fanciers in the jobs who will work to promote and protect its members (jmo) for what its worth

    FEEDING

    feed to how u want i feed twice a day in racing season old the same as young half eve feed in morn so approx half onunce in morn each then an ounce prhaps a bit more if feeding for a longer distance race say over 300mls in the eve and close season as now hopper feed

  18. mistakes i made loads not getting on top of rat prob earlier. messing about with roundabout system ie leaving them together 1 wk then splittin them up again poor birds didnt know whether they were coming or going. and being over confident . well had big kick up the rear no wins this yr. only thing i got right was stopping my younguns after 5 races cos they where fallin to bits they look fab now

  22. had 1 of my best seasons flyin roundabout won all 5 chanel races run it just as bakes explained hens out 1st trap bk to cock sec and fed in cocks sec cocks out hens bk in there section simple system biggest prob gettin feed right as i think its the most important factor is the feeding i fed an ounce for each bird in morn then eve i gave each bird once and half best of luck m8
