My own personal opinion mate,I would give that a miss. If you have a mite problem,have a look at this stuff.A little goes a very long way so you won't need much,mix it with the deep litter/sand etc.a little under the nest pan,like any other powder don't inhale.Have a search and make your own mind up A mate of mine had a greenhouse absolutely invaded with ants,a teaspoon of D Earth in the right place soon sorted the lot.
