atlantic replied to Michael J Burden's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
hi,i would just like to say i think the new gm should sack karen,as she has breached employer/employee trust. and som of the words used to describe the new gm are totally out of order, the guy isnt even in the job yet. he must have applied and been interveiwed,DID YOU? have some respect for the man and give him a chance. -
Kirkintilloch & District R.P.C disband
atlantic replied to Delboy's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
would just like to say a couple of things, the individual ex-members of kirky club would be very welcome to apply to a club in glasgow i am sure. and just a point to gareth rankin,1 mile or 10 mile outside the boundry is just that. and with all due respect to all ex members of kirky club, whoever lets them in should not give them any positions in said club or fed as to disband a club on hearsay is a joke. -

why dosent someone put it forward at the snfc agm, that as long as your loft is located in scotland no matter what union they can fly they can be a member of the snfc. -

hi midnight_son, just noticed your post, and a very well thought out one at that. i would just like to say that you are due your opinion just the same as everyone else, and thats what it is,an opinion,so therefore no matter how wrong i think your opinion is i can never say its not true. i said that 9000 pigeons whent to 3 inland races while 5000 whent to 9 channel races, and whether you like it or not,it dosent matter who sent them they still went, and by your answer you are also saying that the inland national is needed by the guys who send over the channel, apparently to get there birds ready for the water. you also state that its a FACT that more pigeons are deamed capable of flying inland ,well i for one would like to thank you for that fact,as i did think that way but now you have confirmed it as fact, would you not say then that if there are more pigeons capable of inland racing it goes without say that there are more fanciers with these type of birds, and therefore there should be more races to involve more pigeons and more importantly more fanciers. and lastly if you had read my posts you would have to be fair and say that i am not against channel racing,as the race program that i said has more channel races than inland.,
-
well said chris,we have different oppinions but in the end most of us are doing our best for our birds.
-
lets face it,its there for all to see, over 9000 pigeons go to 3 inland races, less than 5000 go to 9 channel races does that not tell people that more members want inland races than channel. and frankdooman, while having respect for you opinion on what makes a national i cant beileve that you come out with a statement like a national not a national unless its over the water, what about the welsh boys who go to thurso and perth and other inland points? no wader the games dying on its feet with antiquarian veiws like that.

chris, finance is an issue look at the balance sheets for each race last year its costing a fortune, while i dont hold stock for channel racing and even though they are costing the membership a fortune i still think we should give the guys the means to these races so to cover the loses these races are making and to help more peple race there should be 2 inlands and 2 channel, the national race program looking like this: race1:newbury race2:gold cup race3:maidstone race4:arras race5:convoybirds only for guys that want to race nfc reg.m. no prises given by club only prize from nfc.this would still be heavily subsidised by the numbers that went this year,24 pigeons @ £5 each=£120,that money has to cover prizes, transporation, collecting birds all over scotland marking stations paperwork cost of then driving them to crew and then driving back, these guys are realy lucky that all the members agreed to this,so a big thanks to all. anyway chris i hope you dont work in finance or have your own buisness like myself as you cant count. and the feeling of winning one must be great, but i get that feeling every other week at club and fed level, and if you ask most people if they realy are pigeon minded it feels great to win at any level. and where i stay in the last 100 years thers only been a handfull of national winners as the logistic are not for us,but to be honest with you i think if you took the best fanciers from the west of scotland and put them to race in your loft they would have probably have won more nationals than you have at this bpoint in time. that said with the greatest respect.

cut the crap johno, didnt ask if he was elected or not,of course he is,just asked fr him to explain.

ayrshire and ballochmyle going tonite for a race, racing into the west can the controller orsomeone close to him please explain this ridiculous decision. no wander the game is dying, people work all week up early before work to feed and water, run home from work to feed and water and train then comes the weekend and for no apparent reason racing is cancelled,i am realy thinking of giving up and just entering one loft races, the plus points are now in favour of that,no more telling the missus she will have to wait till i do the doos,no more cold dinners,no more nonsense like what has happened this weekend, just breed, send, sit back and check the computer daily, ahh sounds great. but to get back to it,this is realy a bad decision,GLASGOW FED "THE SUNNY FED". do your doos race thru the rain or headwinds, dont join glasgow. come on guys EXPLAIN
-
just wandering why this decision was taken as it is showing rain early up to around 9 am and then it moves up,i am totally stunned at this decision.

chris i mean messac.......
-
with all due respect to you chris ,i would have thought with you being a younger fancier that maybe you would have went on facts and not on what you want at any cost, wich i think this is. to start with all you have too do is look at the birdage for inland national compared to channel nationals, that tells anyone with no agenda that a lot more people want inland nationals than channel nationals. times hav changed chris,we now live in a much faster living society,a throw away society if you will, and most people cant or dont want to be waiting days for pigeons to return. in the snrpc for example the inland race had 194 members sending 1377 birds, nearly half the membership went to this race, for messac we had 53 members sending 173 birds, about 10 percent of the membrship, that just tells you everything, personally and from talking to other members we are hoping that the commitee of our club do there job and recomend to the members that this race bescrapped and replaced with another inlnd race wich will make financial sense and open this date up for more members to race as i am sure a thick man would agree that if this race was changed to an inland national there would be more than ten percent of the membership competing.

just like to point out that on wednesday last week it was showing this forthcoming saturday too be sunny..... all it takes is a slight change in windspeed or direction,ie:1 mph. and everything is diferent. me myself i leave it too the guys who take the blame for it all,the race controllers. and coming on a site and talking about it could put undue pressure on these guys and make couse them to make stupid mistakes.

any news on the scottish feds who are at racepoints today?
