Aye that's where I'm at just now Walter picked some for this week and gonae have a go in yearling derby anything after that will b a bonus for me..it's just that I'd only lost two birds all season both latebreads and one worked his way back last week so to have a race like that felt like someone had put their hand down my throught and ripped the heart out of me but as you say that's pigeon racing..I'll learn from it,thanks for taking the time to give me some advice Walter much appreciated ..good luck for the rest of the season m8

Well guys I sent 17 last wk got 9 on the day plus latebred from Appleby ..finished 1st,3rd and fith club and fith west section from Middleton..as this is my first ob season I thought I'd b delighted with my first win at club level..I've been gutted all week wondering where my birds are,got one back on wed morning and started to feel a little better..then got phonecall last nite informing me a non fancier had a bird belonging to me from said race( the bird is I less than 7 miles from the racepoint)this non fancier couldn't have been any more helpful and has kept my bird fed & watered twice daily and is going to take the bird couple of miles from his home and liberate it approx 9 0clock dep on weather I couldn't be more indebted to this kind man and I've told him so but instead of feeling happy for the bird that won the race all I can think about is what happened to our pigeons..anyway just saying.forgot to say I'm a small team flier one more of these rases would finish my season only have 11 yearlings and two latebreads to get as far as i can in programme
