I have had a few over the years most recent last year a young hen came in she was bred in january and was through the moult rang the owner he told me to leave her flying out as she should come home, she stayed and was transfered first 3 yb races she was 6th club being my first bird each time was always in the first 6 after that then won maidstone by 15 mins 214 mls, not raced this year due to widowhood. now for the best, THE NEARLY MAN, found living in a barn on the moors lost as a yearling was a 3 year old when i got him reported him along with others that were rung, spoke to owner wife and she said thats THE NEARLY MAN 5x2nds club always beaten by a loft mate, but as thay had finished racing would i keep him, and thay would send on his pedigree and cards including fed & combine on to me,the first year i bred off him i gave the ybs away to breeder buyers and friends that was 2004, he has bred winners every year since and is well known in my area for b/buyer wins, so thay are not all bad.
