  1. oh i agree with you dell id send it and pool it im just saying it could be the 6 weeks on dark thats caused the bird to throw 2 m8
  2. was about to say there can also be other reasons for a bird throwing 2 together and holding them back is one as the bird trys to bolt the wing to catch up to where nature tells it it should be its not allways a sign of good form it can just be natures body clock telling the bird it needs to catch up so to speak so having the bird on darkness for 6 weeks would cause it to try and and bolt the wing to catch up imo seen widowhood birds do the same when paired after racing

  4. must agree with dell george very different race from that area old and yb nationals no one is saying there not good doo men but the wind and terrain in britain gives them a great advantage imo

  7. i find barley is a good guide in your mix if not sure how much to give them as they leave it first then lift it away also watching your birds and they will tell you what they need and when they need it george m8
  8. wellcome to you frank and as a resent member of the 60 yr old club i know what you mean m8 lol im still learning how to work this thing but im getting there great site this and as you say allows you to speak to fanciers far and wide hope you enjoy it and good luck with your birds
  9. sounds far to much like hard work for me guys im afraid im not convinced on the type of feeding you give them as long as its good clean grain i place more importance on the amount we feed our birds most fanciers tend to over feed and as owen has said fat birds dont win jmo

  18. the youngster i have given to the sale was ment for my stock loft and has an old ring on the sire is a dbl grandson of smarged 1 and velkje a cracking blue pied stock cock that has bred 9 firsts 5 1st west section winners from 60 to 500 miles inc 8th sect 35th open clermont the dam of the youngster is my yearling hen 86th sect maidstone national 5th sect 11th open clermont national she is bred from my kuyper spin hen outstanding breeder dam of 11 firsts 6 west sect winners with 4 diff cocks the sire of the clermont hen is the dbl grandson of de sclangen barcelona winner of one of the hardest barcelonas on record like i said this yb was going into my stock loft

  22. barcelona 1 2 and 3 are all bred from the spin lines great birds
  23. ps i have two direct sons of debarcelona and two dbl grandaughters all breeding winners they are a bit longer but not to big the invincible spirit line can be big birds i found
  24. my aardens are all small to medium dont like the big birds allmost all the gold award winning piceons ive handled would fit in a half pint glass hope you have some luck with them m8
