both the billies sat in good postion in the reg and section imo tiger but its open positions we are talking about and no matter how bad someone always has a good race but this argument was there before us and it will still be there when we are gone everyone has there own opinion i have givin mine as honestly as i can m8 and thats all im saying on it

george your missing the point no one said the macs are not top doo men in fact i said there the best in britain imo what im saying is if the macs davy donaldson jock alston billy davidson davy elliot gg rankin jim hannah to name but a few lived in that area they would be 1st open winners offten because someone over hear wins a national every 10 or 20 years in an east wind or a disaster does not make it right or fair m8 let me put it this way if there are 10 or more 1st open national winners within a 15 mile radius of you and your not winning opens its your fault you havent the birds or the know how if the best distance men around you can only win there section and there is 20 to 50 birds in the open beating them its location imo and the opinion of many more experienced fanciers no one on here has rubbished anyones performance george all we are saying is its a different race over here and your right you cant help where you live but in pigeon racing it can help you and we are all entitled to our opinions without moving anywhere i hope im still here in another 10 or 20 years time to ask you what you think when you have been trying it for years m8 lol

how many did they win george how many open positions in the first 20 and as far as im concerned these guys are the best in britain thats the point im trying to make m8 ask jim cullen where the advantage lies in national racing i know where id rather be sitting waiting on birds in the gold cup or anyother 500 mile race and im sure wullie mac would agree pal

maybe thats why wullie does not go to the other nationals knows hes little chance of winning at least ypres is a bit fairer for us in west imo

i agree with rab 100 percent you only have to look at how many times the nationals have been won in these areas over the years to see whats happening the only other place that comes close is gretna how many lofts are in these areas and how many times has the nationals been won there you only have to look at the amount of birds that are sent from this area and how many get on open results to see the birds on that side have a very big advantage no one is saying these guys are not good fanciers but we are not fools there birds have the coast as a natural guide all the way home and the overfly to boot they can afford to send big teams because the returns are much better imo
