  1. thanks tam at least your honest about it m8 as most times it ends in disaster when you risk birds with little training or are unfit i would not advise anyone to risk there birds this way as they will pay the price and its no way to build a team imo
  2. the porkies was not for you gareth i was reffering to the people that told me different who had not said it out of any kind of badness your old man was one of the greats in my eyes as a fancier and a person and il leave it at that
  3. gareth you said i was being disrespectfull to the great flyers that dont train m8 i dont know any great flyers that dont train and any time there seen they have a basket in there car they must just be taking the baskets for a run eh i said 5 tosses are not enough for latebreds or youngbirds so i can only take it you think it is and inferd that they need to take a look at there stock and who said anything about hammering them down the road you did not i and if you are saying your dad did not believe in hard training he was at coldstream and kelso with the midweek club as i remember and anyone ive spoken to said he trained hard to but i stand corrected if you say he did not as for most members not being able to train there latebreds or youngbirds 20 to 30 12 to 20 mile tosses that may be be true of a few but many fanciers i know would rather spend 20 pound in the pub talking about what there going to do than putting 20 pounds of petrol in there car and trying to get there birds right imo if your trying to bring a young team of birds through you have to educate them so when they make a mistake they can work out how to correct it yes in the nice easy races you will get most home home but soon as they get a sticky one its a different ball game i try to be honest and tell the guys what works so they will not lose as many birds no ones trying to score points here just trying to tell the guys that are losing there latebreds why and how to fix it have good year gareth m8

  10. true john all the best to you to m8 train hard and it will pay off lol
  11. someones telling porkies then gareth if yous did not train and i dont need to flannel the members ive got the the birds to prove it how many you got left thats had five tosses and and raced every race including nationals i dont need to try and be clever about it the birds are here for all to see m8 2 and 3 year old latebreds included
  12. no disrespect to any fancier gareth is meant m8 but thats why its called a blaw hame m8 and as for training no one trained harder than your old man god rest rest him so no bull s t eh guys are wondering why there losing them im giving them my opinion why there not losing them cause there bad pigeons there losing them because they have not learned enough and are not fit enough to get home when they make a mistake which is proving to be the case but ill be glad to hear from anyone else who can tell us how to lose less pigeons we can all pick holes in other peoples methods im trying to help by giving them an alternative we could all give an example of one pigeon doing this or that with little or no training but they are the exception not the rule
  13. happy birthday pam
  14. tuning out a nice morning here the east wind has died down thank goodness
  15. morning guys
  16. very true walter but you will get there sooner if you train hard lol
  17. i will lose them as the racing goes on peter the percies and bad races will help keep them down pal then theres the recycle bin and i do lose them just not as many as some folk but everyone to there own
  18. and that proves what walter you could have timed a piece of paper on saturday if you had thrown into the air it was the easyst race with the best forcast for years thats called luck m8 i make sure mines have the brains to get home without being lucky but you keep doing it your way walt a fantail can follow hundreds or thousands of birds up the road but the last 10 or 20 miles it has to think for its self and break thats why short and offten is best way to train latebreds or youngbirds for that matter and have a much better percentage of birds getting home dont think i be telling any novice to do it your way m8
  19. agree with you 100 percent john but also thought the players let the man down badly
  20. was wondering the same thing tam
