dont want to speak to soon but so far this season everythings gone to plan my latebreds carried me the first few races now the yearlings have taken over winning the last two races my gold cup birds have had 4 races there last one being warrick 262 miles and all had 8 hours or more on the wing gave them one 28 mile toss this week and percy was into them a couple late back so no more training with only 11 days to go an hour in the morning and an hour at night will have to do them no more chances just as much open bowl as i can give them and setting them all up they way they like best picked out ten to go and it will be best ten birds ive sent to a national in my 50 years of racing pigeons but that means nothing in this race the gold cup is the pigeon graveyard lost some great pigeons in this race over the years and did not send for years so ill see what happens this time good luck to all who send to this great race

can asure you lots more birds lost in kelso over here danny also getting a few through then big gaps in the birds lots of short memories and i race both danny club fed and national im out to win them all dont go the im a 500 mile man p h that what the yearling are for imo

if the legs are sitting straight just put wood shavings about 2 to 3 inch deep in a box or wee basket with food and water and it will be fine in about a week if the legs are twisted cut some kitchen roll into a one inch strip and dip it in the white of an egg set the leg straight then rap the strips around the break leave for five mins it will set hard snip after a week to 10 days sit the bird in warm water then peel off the strips job done

i dont think there is any hard and fast rules on breeding winners its ether they have it in there gene pool or they have not i also believe most pigeons can produce a winner as there is so much luck involved by birds just being in the right place at the right time getting a good trap right wind to suite your location blow home where pigeons not as fit as the rest can still win nest condition and many other factors so i tend not to count them as good breeders till they have bred 3 winners then i know its no fluke but a winner is a winner as they say imo if the only winner a pair breed is a national winner we all be quite happy i think lol
