will let panic set in about 10 days before first race ,then dust off the baskets , 2 or 3 ,10 milers should do fine.

intend to breed 45 or 50 (none have hatched yet) less than last year , was building up from scratch last year ,now have some old birds .and hope to breed less in future ,its a lot of work

when i started i had a 40 year old garden shed that hadnt had a lick of paint for decades . still clocked winners into it .

i would ask if there are any restrictions regarding size , materials etc . if youve NOT increased the size it could/should be classed as a refurbishment not a new structure .i wouldnt worry to much , even if you are required to get planning permission and the others are not ,wave the human right flag . you can always apply for retrospective planning if needed , get your club,fed ,union and fellow allotment members on your side . stay posotive. and good luck.

have put 12 new nestboxes in (because there werent any) have put false floors in 2 sections (the loft was "pre-owned" and 30 years of scraping had taken its toll) still a host of small jobs to be done tho
