as above 1/2" x 1/2" every time. walking on mesh ? why is that Pete ? is there another option ? have you considered the droppings falling through . the stronger mesh will be much more costly too. un-less you can scource it from a re-cycling company , could be an option maybe ??

i dabbled myself 2 ish seasons ago , mainly because i had a good number of good hens. i had no success really , and it wasnt the birds , i didnt put much effort in , looking back that was due to my failing health.i am seriously giving it some thought for the coming season .

i am still a little un-decided as to what to do next year . i like widowhood cock,s racing , and it suits me (even though my performances arent great) . yet sent 10 hens to the youngbird National and got them all , so maybe i will consider racing some hens ,,,, ?

only that she is still here , looks very well in my opinion . un-sure as yet wether she will race or not next season ?
